    As requested... <cheers>

    Watford WATFORD.jpg
"Udinese B" had a stuttering start to the Championship campaign this Season under new manager Gianfranco Zola but have started to gel and find their footing lately. A questionable amount of loanee's are amongst the Watford starting 11, and have managed to clamber their way to the Top 6 just above the Tigers. They are currently 7 unbeaten which includes 5 wins and 2 draws. Yorkshire Clubs have been a happy hunting Ground for the Hornets this Season, with wins against Huddersfield (3-2), Leeds (6-1), Sheffield Wednesday (4-1) and Barnsley (4-1) a Grand total of 17 scored and 5 conceded in 4 games against Yorkshire opposition. The Tigers are next, and dangermen Troy Deeney, Matej Vydra and Almen Abdi will certainly be the catalysts for pretty much all of the Hornets' attacks. Zola also sets up his squad as a 3-5-2 meaning it's going to be a battle of the midfields which will ultimately decide the outcome.

Love him or hate him, McShane was the match winner for the Tigers at a difficult previous match at the City Ground with a controversial "handball" but nevertheless, it counted. City needed to get back to winning ways after failing to win the previous two home games against Burnley and Crystal Palace. Aluko has been out for the Crystal Palace and the Nottingham Forest games but despite his absence, City managed to scrape a draw and a win against strong Promotion-contending opposition. Aluko is doubtful for the Watford game, leaving another opportunity for either Jay Simpson or Ze German Nick Proschwitz to maybe step in as McLean failed to make an impression after starting against Forest. In Aluko's absence, Steve Bruce has opted to play Robert Koren in a sort of fake striker role alongside the starting striker. This will be another tough test for City's promotion credentials and the defence will need to remain solid, and make no individual mistakes if they are to keep a clean sheet. This is a great platform for the Tigers to really put themselves in the mix and look more appealing to any possible new additions in the January Transfer Window.

    Amber's Magic Prediction
Should City come away from Vicarage Road with anything more than a point, it would really open the eyes of the other squads in the division. I'd take a point before this game definitely, but to win would have such a significant impact on our Season. We're definitely going to miss Aluko for this one should he remain sidelined. Our defence hasn't been as leaky as usual lately, with only 2 goals conceded in 3 games and they've definitely looked a lot tighter. I'm going for Watford 1-1 Hull City.

In our last game we had 5 loanees in the team...you had 4 in your victory against Notts Forest. Lets just say we're all as bad as each other and move on already!

Sorry, I mean to clarify. Our loanees are all from different sides apart from Elmo and Meyler being from Sunderland. Besides, ours are firstly short term and a couple should be attempted to be bought permanently in January IMO.

Probably time for Prozzy to step up to the plate again for this one, he's had enough time to see the English game now. I'm going for us to win and der Proschwitzer to get amongst the goals

Doesn't really matter where they're from, they aren't actually our players. And that's a worry if their parent clubs want them back. Or if Bruce wants to sign some more from that club.

Tricky game- i'd be happy with a point down there.

I want to clarify something right off the bat. The loan players are only loans because the takeover was completed too close to the close of the window. Its purely a technicality, most players sign loan documents before signing to allow them to play the first available match. They have all stated that they want to make the moves permanent and are more than likely to do so. Having 4-5 loan players in your squad is hardly questionable.

Now I have that off my chest I think tomorrow will be a cracking match and hope it will a great advert for the championship.

Udinese 'B', really, jokers, see some posts above and get it right !!

I predict a tough game tomorrow, 4-4. Goood luck for the rest of the season. I like Bruce.

On a slightly unconventional note, have you ever seen anyone with such a badly broken nose as his?? Pure defender medal that one, he gives interviews side on most of the time.

Also, I'd like to apologise in advance for our shambles of a ground. At least the pitch is decent.

So everyone is aware, I've just moved this thread to the Watford board from our's. The Watford mods have control over it so everyone is playing by their rules.

We have a redirect to this thread stickied at the top of our board that will remain until Monday night. As things stand this is the nearest we can get to having a proper cross board thread, so I thought we'd try it out whilst we've got an opponent with some fans to talk to.

Nice one Ricardo, though we also have a match thread of our own, don't be disheartened if that one gets most of the Watford traffic, or it's split between both. I always forget we have this option!

So are we supposed to argue or something? Watford isnt Leeds or Leicester so I have no serious desire to see their team bus get into an accident.

4-4 is silly though. We either show up or we dont show up. We will win lets say 2 to 1 or we will lose to you lets say 2 - 0. You wont score 4 and we wont score 4. Our defense is not **** enough to give up 4 goals and we dont have the firepower when it comes to finishing to get 4 off you.

Dont worry. Too many Hull fans are hung up on the loans. Its within the rules and i for one dont have a problem with it. What is What is. I am also expecting a good end to end attacking game and may the best team win. If Watford play and open game then that suits us down to the ground.
    Good luck after today though.

Agreed. You also do a good matchday programme. Think Hull will win a close game 2-1. Good luck afterwards though.

'Shambles' a bit strong maybe. Three-sided agreed, but those three aren't too bad. One day we'll get our fourth side back! We still love being at the Vic though with all its quirks, don't we?

Cheers for that FT. Its something that bugs me because people only tend to know what has been reported and that includes none of the info about them signing permanently. People then form the wrong ideas and opinions.

The game will go one of two ways, either it will be a dull 0-0 like Millwall (another attacking team) or based on posts by you guys the other option is Watford getting a few. Our strikeforce are in form and feasting on goals, so it will be a real test for your defence. But our defence has been pretty strong too. This will be a real test for us both and I have a feeling whoever comes out better off could make the playoffs.

I am willing to put money on this going one of three ways. Either a home win, an away win, or a draw. I am not a betting man, but I am so confident of this.

Basically, I have no idea how this will pan out. Will Hull bring us down to earth, after our fine form?! Will we continue our fine form, and demonstrate our potential for promotion?! Will it be a dull, drab match with neither team prepared to go all-guns-blazing, at the risk of loosing too much of an advantage over other play-off/promotion hopefuls.

I may be going today. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Glad someone has finally found the humour in it rather than taking it as an intentional dig at Watford. <cheers>
