Aah, so I did. Bit of a manic time at that point though, easily forgotten. And he's fine, he's been given a year so we have a list of his "Things to do before I die" which we're all going to chip in as a family and fulfill for him. I forgot to mention, he's a regular reader on here and has seen the support he received in that Thread and has thanked you all, it means more to him than people would expect.

I was considering doing a post match, match thread. It would give everyone an opportunity to discuss if the match thread was good enough. I'm also considering a pre-pre-match thread, where we can discuss if there's any need for a thread, which discusses the need for a pre-match thread, to decide if there should be a match thread. Tomorrow, I was going to post a team selection thread, but instead, I've decided to post a thread to discuss if there's any need for a team selection thread. After which, I will post the perfect recipe for an Eccles Cake.

Please keep creating them Amber - always well written and a good read. I really don't know how Percy manages to be miserable about absolutely everything. Even a neutral thread such as this one he succeeds in whinging about something.
To be perfectly honest I find the hypocrisy of people constantly whinging about TWF more irritating than his own complaints - especially when he has a valid point. We already established six weeks ago that the majority of our users want the threads to continue.
Maybe you have a point (I personally don't constantly whinge about him) but when someone is so negative all the time you do have to wonder why they bother. It also costs them any credibility if unable to balance views. Tickler's too far in the opposite direction for example. Anyway, you're right - most want the Preview threads to continue. Long may they do so.
I should have been a little more clear there - I didn't mean you personally (I can't say I've noticed you whinge about him in the past) I was pointing more collectively. Personally I don't see that much negativity in TWF - obviously I see your perspective in this case but for example, the whole Adam Pearson thing - it may oppose everyone else's opinion but it's not actually negative, just... opposing. And people don't like opposing.
