It was me who ran this last year. It was fairly succesful and well received. The categories were.... Lifetime achievement award... This was of course aimed at our main mod Northy and all his hard work keeping this board moving in it's first year. This, he did so well, but ironically ( For whatever reasons ) chucked it in. Funniest poster award. I think that went to Eamon Holmes. ( I'm doing all this from memory. ) Best overall poster ( Can't remember. ) Best thread ( Ditto. ) Best Thread Starter ( Wouldn't like to say ... a-hem. ) Not me this year though. More of a reader of late than a protaganist. I try and leave that stuff to the youngsters. I think there was also an award for best overall poster. I try to think back to the time and remember trying to keep it simple and fun. The difficulty with this kind of thing is making everyone feel inclusive. ( How chuffing PC is that? ) The trouble is, is that although everyone comes on here and posts, some are more prominent than others. Someone will probably feel un-loved at some point. Take for instance an award for...... most tactically astute! ( Purely random subject.) There are probably 5 or 10 posters who feel that they are worthy of this accolade. So Cerny if you feel up to it mate, then fill your boots. It's only good fun and makes our most fantastic of boards what it is. It's a good idea and offers a light hearted moment in these times of adversity.
TBH, I just cant wait to see who gets our Player of the Year" Award this season Given a choice I think I'd choose Harriman.!
she is trying to write an acceptance speech as we speak she has no idea which award she will be winning but if she writes enough rubbish she is hoping to confuse enough people into believing that she knows what she is doing

Think that covers pretty much all.
