Could we possibly beat such a famous club on their ground, and it not appear to be a freak result? It would be a measure of just how far we have one, and how close we are to making the top grade once again. However, on a serious note, I would gladly sacrifice the three points on offer and donate them to my darling Minxy...come on Posh for Fug sake!
Surely the only way to be sure Posh get any three points would be to win tonight then lose to Posh in the next game. I would prefer to do the former then renege on the latter!!!! Not sure 3 potns would be enough to help Posh anyway. As far as i can see, Minxie's happy in L1, so let it be so.
TEAM NEWS Blackburn midfielder David Dunn is fit after a lengthy calf injury and could start, while Dickson Etuhu has recovered from illness. Veteran forward Nuno Gomes (hamstring) misses out although fellow Portuguese forward Fabio Nunes could feature. Leaders Cardiff will again be without Tommy Smith (hamstring) but he is closing in on fitness and could play against Peterborough on 15 December. However, winger Craig Noone is available after suspension. MATCH FACTS Head-to-head • Blackburn have won 25, Cardiff 20 and 15 of the 60 competitive meetings between these clubs have been drawn. • Cardiff gained their first win in six league and cup matches against Rovers in their most recent meeting, when the Welsh club won a League Cup fifth round tie 2-0 in November last year. • Blackburn have won five and drawn one of the last six league meetings with the Bluebirds, since Cardiff's 3-2 victory at Ewood Park in November 1980. Blackburn Rovers • Henning Berg is looking for his second win in charge of Blackburn, having seen his ninth-placed side pick up one point out of nine. • Fewer Championship goals have been on show at Ewood Park than at any other ground, with Blackburn scoring 10 in the 10 matches, and conceding 10. • Just over half of their points (15 of 29) have been claimed in matches in which Rovers have scored fewer than two goals. Cardiff City • Malky Mackay's Cardiff can increase their lead at the top of the table to four points with an unrivalled 14th Championship victory. • The current tally of 41 points from 20 games is their best for 10 years, but only 11 of those points have been secured away from home. • The Bluebirds have hit the woodwork an unequalled 14 times in Championship games this term.
Good performance all round. Good pressing when they had the ball, quick on the break and clinical finishing in the second half. We're now starting to benefit from the depth of the squad. Bellamy and Noone off and the replacements don't drop the standards and put away another two goals against tired legs. With 7 mins to go I said to Mrs Remote that if the scores stayed as they were I'd have 4 points in the prediction league. 2 minutes later I had 2 points. To be honest, I don't care. Could this be the run of away results we've been waiting for. Good result tonight against a team with some quality in its ranks. Rhodes barely got a sniff, Hudson was imense and it was probably the right game to pick up his 5th yellow, as his loss won't be that great against posh (sorry Minxy). Shows the benefit of having scorers all over the park though.
Great win and deservedly so!!! Starting to win away looking good although Hudson got a yellow card like to keep Connolly out on the right and bring Nugent in centre no offence to Pboro I think it's a good game to get more first team experience
Well I wasn't expecting that. I predicted a win but when they scored, I had the usual "here we go again" whinge. Boy, how wrong was I? Great all round team performance with Huds leading the way with a deserved MOM. So pleased for Kimbo too...great finish.
Cheers mate. Long time no speak, but I guess you guys are having the time of your lives right now. I'm determined not to get carried away (in every sense) but I'm gonna allow myself a bit of hope after this result.

Yep, long time Clingo - been too busy to post but been a regular visitor! Like you, trying not to get too carried away with our form - very tough game for us tomorrow and a few bad results and the current silly (imo) speculation of European football may be a distant memory. But think you boys are to strong to let it slip now, am confident you will be auto's come seasons end, and pretty sure you will be promoted as league winners and you can quote me on that!
H - don't be too hard on the lad - just seen his team thrashed by the rightful leaders of the league! Hope he will be embarrassed by his comments when he has time to reflect - if not, 'sticks and stones' init!
I dont know about embarrased but certainly he's been 'educated' in a few tasty replies ah well, on to the next one
