How was it taking the piss out of the Royals?

It was just the usual ridiculing of ordinary people doing their jobs by being helpful and laughing at their 'gullibility'.

I think the ozzy DJ's should offer the nurses family some sort of compensation at least. One nurse is worth a hundred DJ's

Ive not heard the prank But you have to ask yourself just what was going through the mind of whoever answered the phone, I mean the queen herself is hardly likely to ring is she?

It was funny because it was farcical what they said. You're infact laughing at the djs for attempting it because it was so badly done.

No i didn't expect this to happen when i read the transcript of the conversation the other day. They were asking how Kate was and impersonating the Queen and Charles, not asking for weapons great plutonium ffs!

What it has done is shown up the stupidity of the MI5/6 and all who are supposed to protect them.

Me saying this doesn't detract from me being shocked this has happened or for me leaving my condolences. I didn't expect it would happen.

Just wondering if the nurse who took the call has been subjected to any interview by the so called 'managers' at the hospital---one wonders

If the heir to the throne's missus was in hospital expecting you'd expect Special Branch to have the area cornered off and nurses/ doctors properly screened and access properly limited including visits & phone messages. I'm not in that field but you'd expect security to be high on the priorities.

According to the hospital statement, there was no complaint from anyone and the nurse was not reprimanded, in fact, the hospital were supporting her as much as possible, as she was being permanently harassed by reporters.

Agreed, but reporters will always hound people for stories, it's what they print- the slanderous stuff- that's what the Leveson Inquiry was all about.

Unfortunately, I suspect that £20 to a porter was all it took.

No one can make light of the fact that she felt it was spmething that she could not face.

If it was me, no matter how clever I think I am, I would doubt that I could challenge the caller. Who would?
The fault was in the protocol, nursing staff and the switchboard should have been told what to do and not left on their own.

She did not disclose the info.

A breech of patient confidentiality is taken very seriously by the NHS. My wife who is a nurse was a witness in such a case a few years ago. She was suspended on pay, escorted off hospital property and
forbidden to speak to anyone. All this and she was not the culprit.
For it to happen at one of the country's most exclusive private hospitals. To the highest profile patient imaginable in front of the world's media. The poor girl will have probably have been bollocked up hill and down
dale by everyone from the CEO downwards. Suspended!! (Sorry: trying to support her in the most difficult circumstances) then as soon as the story was no longer news worthy. Fired so fast her feet wouldn't touch the ground.
