I had a good debate at work today about the hardest ever players. In my era as a Sunderland fan I'd say Billy Whitehurst, Ball, Kay, Harford and Rae. I heard a good story off a Geordie mate about when he was on the same train as Rae. Apparantly about 8 Scum fans were shouting abuse to him. All he did was look out the window and he kept his mouth shut. As soon as the train pulled into the next station he got off and challenged them all to a fight, all of them against him. None of the soft feckers took him up on his offer!
There was a n ex-Liverpool player called Tommy Smith who is the hardest player I can remember in my life time...By all accounts he was a right twat on and off the pitch as well.
Thanks for the reply Raw, I thought this post would get a better response lol! Hope ur well mate, ru going Tues night??
Got to agree with the other posters - Tommy Smith, no doubt about it. Saw him on telly a few years back, absolutely crippled up from all the injections they made him have while he was playing.
Big Duncan Ferguson takes some beating. I'd have loved to have seen them burglars faces when he walked in in them!
Sure am mate..I've had to put holiday time in for both Saturday and Tuesday! Everything great at this end..How is the misses and the twins? And how is your dad? I haven't seen him on here for a while..
I know he comes and goes on here all the time. The missus is fine thanks and so are the boys. Ill be driving on Tues with my nephew. Ru going out before hand? I'm still gutted the original match was cancelled , we were having a great day!
