The losing manager of Sunderland v Chelsea will be sacked by Monday IMO. Put money on Rafa when he was 50/1!

Extremely unlikely. O'Neill would walk well before his sacking is on the cards. What would be the point of sacking Benitez. He is an interim manager only. He will go whenever who is being lined up makes himself available.

Problem with that is that RA is no fool. The billions taken from the Russian state with its blessing is testament to that. He will not be persuaded by Hughes simply saying that he is ambitious and a born winner. Anyway , as it takes Hughes at least ten games to get the winning mentality do you really think that RA is about to indulge him?

He might be a fool though, when it comes to football coaches. Did you see the C4 documentary on Mourinho? A whitewash job, but some legends, including SAF, the late Bobby Robson and other queuing up to ladle on the praise. His players, universally, love him. He has won 21 trophies in 10 years as a manager. And the Russian chased him away.....but you are right, Hughes? No way.

Agree, Col. Could be Hughes' biggest blunder. He scored 8 goals in 13 games in the Prem...and we get rid...
