He's not coming back until the New Year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20625285 Okay, I would now like to dial down the relentless optimism I've been displaying in other threads. This is bad news.
It’s a shame as he has been playing well this season having really improved on his performances last season. Without Ruiz we really lack creativity.
According to the article suffered while playing for Costa Rica?? What is all that about? My optimism has taken a huge dive....
Oof, that's a big blow. Petric and the rest need to step up now. What is going on with Kasami? Surely he's not being such a dick that he's not worth playing at all? He's got to be a better option in midfield/behind Berbs than Hugo?
This most recent hamstring problem happened in the Sunderland game but what I think they're getting at are comments Jol made earlier in the week - He played for the U21s in the defeat against Liverpool on Monday, watched by Jol. Although he had a good 20 minutes either side of half time he really didn't impress. The chance was there to impose himself in the game in the right midfield but in fact he ended up drifting wide and his shooting attempts (few that they were) were poor. Can't see why Jol would risk him in the first team although perversely, he might actually do better. The trouble is his attitude - he acts very aloof when playing with the youngsters and doesn't seem to realise that he's got to prove himself at all levels.
Blimey - he's lopsided. Bryan has just posted on his website that 'they' have only just discovered that his left leg is shorter than his right and that this at the root of his injury problems (well 'they' hope it is). 'They' is a specialist, Dr Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, who looks after Bayern Munich, the German National team, Usain Bolt and others, so Bryan should be in capable hands. Not sure how the good doctor can sort the crucial problem though (short of sawing 1.2" off his right leg !). PS So much for our legendary medicals.
Note to all: everyone has one leg shorter than the other. A top orthopedic surgeon told me this. So not sure what they're on about if I'm honest. I bet its a back problem in disguise.
I have one leg shorter than the other, which causes a dodgy knee/foot from time to time, I know another bloke at work who's the same and he's had loads of back problems.
