We have only made one financially large signing. Of which the total figure has varied massively.

There is nothing wrong with what Watford are doing, its perfectly within the rules, which is just more evidence why our youth system is shafted.

Any game is this league is difficult to predict, however away from home against a team in fantastic form then a draw would be a great result, i think our defence is going to under a lot of pressure and the whole team is going to have to be very good defensively

A lot of fans would be surprised to know that despite our loanees, we do use a lot of home nation players and play some young home grown talent from our academy. It's not just about bringing in foreign players, we're drawing on all our resources.

Hull are quite like Watford, we both went up and overspent in the Premier League... came down and spent on some big players (wages or fees) to try and get back up. That didn't work and we've both had financial issues because of it. Until our new owners came we had to settle for selling our best players every season for millions just to avoid administration. Any players we signed were £500k>. The brilliant thing about our new owners is that we haven't spent a penny yet.

Maybe we should get some foreign loanees. A few from Germany would be a good start based upon German team performances in the Champions League. Especially the team that beat Man City. The reviews in the papers were glowing. Shame the one German we have cannot seem to make the grade. Surprised we are not trolling those leagues for bargains-still on second thoughts I guess we were.

Aluko trained today and will be fit for Saturday.

And Sunderland have not exercised their right to recall Meyler(at least not yet).

Kaka can't get on the pitch. Get him on loan with a view to a permanent :bandit:

    What was wrong with him?

Same team with Aluko replacing Mclean i expect. I'd much prefer to have 2 up front, but i reckon we'll go a bit more defensive for this one.

Clearly the rules about overseas loan players need looking at , Watford haven't broken the rules but the situation is ridiculous

They're no different as far as I know. Limited to 2 domestic loans a season (if made permanent they don't count any more) but overseas loans don't count, that's how we had Zayatte, McShane, and King on loan for the first half of the season. When we brought the third of the domestics in we had to make Gardner a permanent signing as it pushed us over the 2 domestic loans allowed.

As far as I know the limits are in place to prevent one English club being able to unduly influence another club.

If you hadn't noticed they're in good form, doesn't matter how the goals go in, as most City fans said about Macca's goal the other week or how they get the points. They've picked up in confidence over the last month and are scoring goals galore. Which we could score as many, but that would be living in ****in lala land.

Secondly, we're yet to get a win against anybody in the top 6 yet this season, and we're away from home- they'll be right up for it. We've been dreadful against the other promotion challengers so far.

A draw would be a great result. Yes we can go there and win, it's not out the question.

It should be an interesting game obviously, but i reckon they'll be just as worried about us. The thing here is,we both play 3 5 2 so how will that pan out ? One of their players(can't remember who) was in one of the rags two weeks ago, saying nobody in this div will know how to play them in this formation. Well he clearly hadn't done his homework. SB will have learned from defeats to the likes of Lester,as to how to play against 3 5 2.

    Besides,we have Macca <ok>

I'm half expecting this game to be called off if this frost persists over the next few days, Vicarage Road is the sort of dilapidated ****hole that cant cope when winter begins to rear its head.

When we came down we spent absolutely nothing as we were broke already.

What most of us are saying is that yes, its within the rules. However the rules are wrong and should be looked at to stop this form of 'cheating'. One point i will make is that out of the 14 players used in your last game 11 where on loan, so don't tell me you use a lot of English players. Currently you are a Udinese B team, you are playing very well and have a very good manager which is fair enough. I just don't think you can deny you are a feeder club to someone else, where at any time they could pull these loans and you would be done for.

As you can see i hate your transfer policy and if it spreads it really could spoil the lower leagues and it would be terrible for English football, and i think we need to stop this, and stamp down on it soon.
