The CL will be won by a German team this season. They are all very strong. Barca have been found out and teams now know how to beat them. I fancy Dortmund in the final.
Agree. I really do not want us to get Bayern. The amount of damage they would do on the wings against us, is too scary to think about.
We should just be grateful we're in the last 16. Getting into the last 8 would exceed my expectations. We are extremely poor and I'd say we're in the the bottom half of the last 16 left. Any team we face will be extremely tough. We'll probably get Barca or Juve but no team is preferable... but it is over two legs and anything is possible.
I dont care who we get , just please dont let us play as SH!TE as we have been playing . A good performance is what im looking for.

When are the last 16 games to be played? February? Anything could happen by then, especially if Wenger strengthens in Jan. Wouldn't rule out our chances of getting further just yet.
well we are not going to win it with this midfield, worried about the derby now with Cleverley, Kagawa and Anderson our better mids all out and will be either Giggs,Scholes,Carrick,Fletcher or Jones playing
In fairness though, on paper, Chelsea had the players to win the CL, just the wrong manager. I look at our team and I don't see players that have the spirit that Chelsea did last season. As much as I don't like Chelsea, you can't deny that after AVB left, they had a real sense of unity that's conspicuously absent from our team.
Cole, Drogba, Torres, Ramires, Terry, Luiz, Ivanovic, Cahill, Mata, Lampard. Just those players alone are a good mix of experience and new. Look at our team now and how many previous winners do we have? What strong figure do we have in the team? Where's the unity? Chelsea may have started poorly last season but in cup competitions they came into their own (with a little luck too). I look at our team and we don't even have the depth to take a decent stab at any cup competition. We have two players that we know of who clearly want to leave, other squad players who look bemused as to how they're even on the payroll and others who clearly don't give a ****. Let's face it, if we're not even in the top 6 after Christmas... we should consider the top 4 a forgone conclusion. Champions League? It's possible but very very very slim considering how much stronger the competition is this year.
Again. You said they had the players to win it. Their squad last season, was at best, a quarter finalist squad. And do you not forget the player rows and sagas that were affecting them last season?
Chelsea always had the squad capable of winning the Champions league, rows/sagas or none. If they get another stirker, then they'll be on the top of the pile again. The last time we had the team capable of winning the Champions league was back in 08, when we came close. Our current squad has too many issues and weaknesses to even progress past the Quarters.
