I am so sorry to hear that H. I hope you are ok too and can have your time and the support you need to grieve.

Very sorry to hear your news H - but at least your friend is in peace. As a parent this is our nightmare and I can only imagine the grief her mum must be suffering, but it sounds as if she has a lot of strong support around her.
Thoughts and prayers are with you over the next few weeks...

I hope today goes as well as it can for you H. Today will be a mixture of sadness but also a lot of laughter and if she's anything like you, I'm sure there will be some amazing stories to regale. Pop back to the Nest if you're in need of extra support, we're always here <hug>

Last night we had the first heavy frost of winter and despite the sun it is slow to move. :(

The French press seem more concerned about the rising unemployment rate than to regale us with strange stories about everyday life. Despite programs designed to get people into jobs almost 10% of the population are without. Private companies are still losing out to imports from China and shedding workers, while the jobs going within the communes and government are short term for six months. At one time everyone had their own land so they would be able to provide for the family, but with the age of buying what you want that has all changed. Certainly the change in President seems to have made matters worse rather than better from the rather detached point of view, and the old football chant "You don't know what you're doing" is heard more and more about him.

Offer 'em Cameron, Milliband? Clegg ? No, the perfect one for you France must be N Farage(the patriot with an 'iffy' surname)

Rangers now is a different company so why should they have started at the top? If I were to sell computers I would not start at the same level as Microsoft. The fans have moved from one team to another with the same name and coloured shirts and even if some of the players are the same they are getting upset about something silly.

So if it turned out Bassini has done something as bad as the Rangers Directors and Watford got forcibly wound up you would quite happily accept that we were no more would you - and not try to re-form essentially the same club with new owners and money? I would be devastated and most fans in other clubs would feel the same I think and have symapthy

Rangers have not started at the top but back in the fourth tier. You must be hard hearted not to feel some sympathy and not to understand why they feel bitter against the clubs who adopted a holier than thou attitude towards them. I hope Dundee do not find their Honest Joe Owner has done anyhting wrong too

It is essentially unfair that football clubs are owned by people who can then quit and the club, the supporters and the players take the hit....

The essential flaw in the game..... clubs belong in the vast majority to entreprenuers and not to their communities.

BTW.. Lenny did you go and see King Crimson at Watford Town Hall in July, 1971? Great concert...

    Sorry for your loss H.

It puts a lot of things in to perspective when you lose someone close.

Also i believe that is why so many of us like football so much, as you can get lost in it and it helps you forget everything bad in your life. Even for just a brief moment in time.

Sorry to read of your loss - my better half is watching a long friend fade away, it's not a good place to be.
