FIA say aero rules right now will stay the same when 2014 package is introduced. Not looking very good for Lewis and Mercedes now come 2014... they better pray they have one mega engine or this change of team for Lewis will backfire if Jenson or Perez win the WDC next year.
I think with the whole new engine the cars designs will naturally have to change to accommodate them. Where did you read the rules are staying the same?
Does that cover the exhaust? I thought they were/are going to change the exhaust so it works similar to the way it does on the GP2 cars? So no more blown rear ends, seeing this is where the others have stolen a march over teams like Mercedes, could narrow the gap between the teams.
If they don't deal with the exhausts then I imagine they'll become a lot more useful with a charged system, despite the loss in capacity.
http://www.fia.com/news/world-motor-sport-council-2012 2014 F1 Technical Regulations A new draft with numerous changes was discussed and agreed by the F1 Technical Working Group and Powertrain Working Group. The requirement for cars to be driven exclusively under electric power in the pit lane has been postponed until 2017. A number of changes have been made to the power unit regulations with the aim of limiting technology in some areas in order to reduce development costs. Changes made to bodywork design, originally aimed at reducing downforce and drag for increased efficiency, have reverted to 2012 specification. The minimum weight limit has been raised to compensate for additional power unit weight.
Well I guess it was to sensible to make all the changes at once. Might as well change it every season to make sure costs are kept up lol I'm interested to see how the cars will look with the new engines

FLAVIO BRIATORE CRITICISES MICHAEL SCHUMACHER’S MOVE IN THE 2012 BRAZILIAN GP – FORMULA 1 NEWS http://blogs.bettor.com/Flavio-Bria...-the-2012-Brazilian-GP-Formula-1-news-a206333 Flavio Briatore criticises Michael Schumacher’s move in the 2012 Brazilian GP – Formula 1 news Former Benetton and Renault team boss, Flavio Briatore has criticised Michael Schumacher for letting Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing to overtake him in the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix. Schumacher allowed his compatriot, Vettel to pass him during the season finale which helped the 25-year-old in securing 6th place finish and eventually claiming his third consecutive world championship title. However, Briatore has criticised the seven-time world champion for his action in the last race of the season. Moreover, according to the Italian, Schumacher’s intentions were to help the Milton Keynes based team in the championship fight. “The way he (Schumacher) behaved in Brazil was not good. His preference was that Red Bull beats Ferrari,” said Briatore. In addition, he said that Vettel’s teammate, Mark Webber was the only driver who helped the Scarlet team. “The only one who helped Ferrari was Webber,” he added, referring to Mark Webber. It will be important to note that Briatore is not the only one who has criticised the 43-year-old as the president of Ferrari, Luca di Montezemolo has also expressed his remarks against him. Montezemolo said that he expected a little bit different final race from the veteran German driver. “I was expecting a slightly different final race on the part of Michael Schumacher”, Ferrari president Montezemolo admitted last weekend. Bitter much Italy?
Yeah, although im unsure what role the "official timekeeper" has do they actually provide the system/graphic or are they just paying to put a logo on the screen?
Off topic, but relating to the mafia game. I just have to say thank God some of you lot are not real-life detectives.
