There's been a lot of talk on this forum about which strikers, wingers and even centre backs we should sign but not much mention of full backs. Assuming Enrique stays (which for the record I think he's off) do you think we need cover for him or is Ferguson capable? Do you think we need better cover at RB than Perch? Or even replace Simpson all together? If Enrique leaves who would you replace him with? Also be specific and post names if you want, because I haven't the foggiest idea who would be a good signing for us at LB/RB. Fire Away!
I dont think Simpson right at this moment is good enough to be our first choice right back if we want to push up into the higher echelons of the leaugue, so in that case I would probably bring in someone young, and of similar ability to challenge his place, not just someone who's happy with just being cover. Enrique would of course be fine at LB and Van Aanholt would ideally be good cover for him, I would say Ferguson but he strikes me as more of a winger tbh. Edit: Forgot to add that I expect Simpson to carry on improving like he has since we bought him, hes not quite good enough YET.
I agree, if we want to push forward up the league then we would need to replace him, but for next season right back isn't our priority and he's fine for now.
