Having read all the good stuff about the Irish get together on the weekend, could Melbourne host an Australian get together some time soon? Are there more Melbourne based Hoops than elsewhere in this sun-burnt country? I know at lest 6 here, suggesting the 1st Aussie forum gathering might be here. If we pick a game (ideally an early kick off given the rubbish time diff), I have a venue for the match and could accommodate some folk at my place... Just a thought.... do we want to do it?
I believe that there are several if us 'Gold Coasters' around, not to mention our good friends just up the road in BrisVegas. As for our good friend over in Kiwiland .............. mate, least you don't miss out on a 'shout' ............. the company is good and you don't have far to go to hit the sack.
If there's more Gold Coast than Melbourne, why not.... But let's pick a game and enjoy an Rs premier league experience together. We are an eclectic bunch with one common passion...
Mate, Give us a game and the "Brissie boys" wil be in attendance. 'i dont mind a trip to Melbourne but willing to do Gold Coast as well. Let us know and we should bring a few. Look forward to it...dont rely on those Gold Coast lot though as they blew us out last time !! Keep in touch guys.
what time are kick offs for you in Melbourne. we did try a get together for the chelsea game and that sadly did not happen, fulham is coming up maybe we should try it again i did think of doing an Australian QPR supports club. then i realized i had no ****ing idea what i was doing and would only get it in the neck from the misses. plus the only real reason was to get a QPR badge up in the pig and whistle

Rss down under!! Always up for a meet. Just when and where is the question. Based in Melbourne (as the name suggests). What happened to you MelburnIan for the chelsea match? Watched it with a load of man u boys looking at the other screen. Its always **** in the pubs here, with no audio and everyone else watching other screens. I ve got an office board room with projector etc. Always go in on my tod...everyone at work thinks I m a freak, but it would be cool for a few of us to get together. 2am kick off is do-able as I m not sure when the next early KO is on. Its on St Kilda Rd, near the police station. Maybe man u this weekend, or will that be too depressing? U Rs!
NORWICH is an early kick off so that might be the one. 11.45pm Melbourne time. It's in 8 weeks so should be enough time to organise something!!! Any takers? Ideas on venue etc?
Think I can go one better ................ one Saturday night a month, I call all my mates up and we have a 'huge' get together in the old red phone box across the road. I can tell you the place is roaring with so much loud music and verbal diarrhea, I struggle to get a word in edge-ways but I never miss out on a 'shout'. Good wholesome fun and ....................... not another person in sight!
The poster formerly known as Brisvegas R now resides on the Gold Coast aswell. There's a few of us now!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Australia What I don't get about Australia is why there's no mention of anything between the arrival of the Aborigines 60,000 years ago and the Europeans a couple of hundred years ago. People from what is present day Indonesia (Sulawesi certainly) traded for centuries with the Aborigines. Never understood the attraction, Indonesia is a beautiful country with a magnificent ancient culture, why go further. Of course the Aborigines made the sea crossing from Papua tens of thousands of years before any European would achieve anything remotely similar. An incredible achievement.
