Charlie, it's not nice being on the receiving end of this, but I have to say, it's looking more and more likely that it is you. If it's not, do your best to get it proved, but if it's you, admit it and accept the failure. You'd rather admit then have it proven against you because these Leicester lads will rip you a new one if it comes to that.
I was thinking the same thing. That's why I've advised him to admit to failing if it is him. Because TBH, he's digging a bigger and bigger grave for himself.
Though having the same IP is often an indication of someone multi posting, as Dutch has said, it's certainly not conclusive. We had an issue a while back with someone claiming to be a Leeds fan, who was posting non stop bollocks on our board. I made the mistake of mentioning on our board that he had the same IP address as one of our regular posters, resulting in everyone giving him a load of grief. It turned out to be one of his workmates taking the piss.
I think having the same IP is inconclusive in itself really. An IP Address could be picked up by anybody couldn't it? The problem Charlie finds himself in, is that Major Fox really sounds like Charlie in both what he says, his profession, where he lives and if I'm being honest Charlie lad, you're not doing a great job in convincing people otherwise...
Commenting on that element alone, especially when Charlie has 242 different Karoo IP addresses attributed to his account (which means an average of about 11 posts per address, or looking at it another way an average of about 2 days with each one before it's reassigned to someone else). At least with your thing on the Millwall board there were only 9 IP addresses on your account so it looked like a reasonably static address given you've made as many posts as you have. Obviously as mods we have more options available to us, ie we can check individual posts, so if Charlie's posts and Major's posts were switching back and forth but coming from the same IP it'd be almost impossible for them not to be coming from the same location.
Aah, seems much clearer now. I can't have been posting at the same location as those other accounts. So really, Charlie is at make or break here.
