@OfficialFOXES: #lcfc have today extended the loan spells of #mufc duo Jesse Lingard and Michael Keane. See the full story at http://t.co/eLoTKtMa. I think that rumour about us signing them on permanent deals could be true as extending the loans seem rather pointless otherwise
We do so love our Manchester United youngsters. Can't see us signing them tbh as they are both highly rated at Man U, but then again I can't see any other point in extending the loans as Lingaard hasn't been getting on the field and Keane was brought in to solve defensive injuries which now seem to be covered- SSL near to full fitness now I believe, and therefore would be probably be 5th choice behind Morgan, SSL, Whitbread and Moore.
Only thing that would bother me is that Keane is a centre back and Lingard a centre mid - we don't need cover there atm so does that mean that we soon will i.e. we will be selling players from those positions?
I understand Keane because should Whitbread or god forbid Morgan get injured then we dont have another centre half. We will end up with Liam Moore at centre half again. St. Ledger should be back around Christmas and once he is back then we wont need Keane. But if Nigel has already agreed to sign them both then we might aswell keep them here
Lingard is more of behind the striker so a 4-4-1-1 - not really a CM. Keane would be a great signing i think.
Surely it's more likely to be extended to an end of season loan in January. Can't make that official until the transfer window after all.
