  1. The first team would be like watching Arsenal from a few years ago; trying to walk the ball into the net through the middle. A well organised team of grinders with a young Michael Owen up top would stand a chance against them IMO. Actually, we could just say the Liverpool side under Houllier; defend at all costs and hit it long to Heskey / Owen <ok>

Cantona did it in Europe a fair few times, usually in games away from home when we were looking to keep sides like Juve out. He's not the best suited to a role like that, but he could play pretty much anywhere up front. Much like Rooney in that regards - play him as the main striker he'll bag loads of goals, play a striker in front of him and he'll create loads. And with Ronaldo and Gerrard in the team he'd not be lacking support - half the time those two would end up ahead of Cantona whatever the formation!

It's also about the only way you can get Gerrard, Keane, Scholes, Ronaldo and Giggs all in the same team without a ******ed American formation (Hello Bluff!!)

That would be my side but I would have Pallister ahead of Vidic.

It would be a ludicrous suggestion for a 20 year old who has played about 30 games for United in various positions and had some rave reviews! But you're right, someone will suggest it.

We'd have to win possession! Every time we lost it the opposition would go down the wings drill the ball into the box and Hypia would put through his own net...

Nah, you're right. Shoehorning Gerrard in there just so there was at least some LFC representation was a bad idea. What do you reckon, Beckham on the right wing or Ronaldo on the wing with Rooney / RVN up front?

Nowhere near as good as Stam and Vidic. He'd even struggle to make the bench with Rio infront of him there aswell.

Vidic, Ferdinand, Stam, Bruce and Pallister are ALL way better than Hypia ever was.
