Can I pull the lever and hold the severed heads up to the cheering crowds?

Oh godders you still know how to stir the pot don't you?
Ian am somewhat disappointed in your offering in regards to the monarchy. Are any of the countries with out a monarch particularly better off than those with a monarch. Are the people any less happy?
How the hell would having a president improve this country? Just so you can vote another idiot in?
The monachy have no say in political matters they are kept well out of it. We have a fine tradition and we do not need to have an elected heir. We already have enough politions getting it wrong adding another would not improve or change anything.

Well I'd keep the monarchy personally. The way I see it they're not even the ones ****ing up the country nowadays in any case. The tourism case is certainly very strong, and as BT says, are republics enjoying a massively different life to us? I'd not say so.

We live in an elective dictatorship. Our interests are not properly being considered in many cases.

But hey that's just me, I'd rather change the voting system from 'First Past The Post' to PR before worrying about bumping off the Royals.

And congrats on the news benditlikebanana.

No Godders, I`ve bagged that job already. Like many Jocks, I`ll never show any allegiance to the the Royal family due the `sixth verse` in the anthem. Amongst the royal family over the last hundred years we have had to put up with tax dodgers, piss-heads, junkies, traitors, wasters, dimwits, freeloaders, racists..................

What about the Scottish National anthem? That verse also is not use anymore, most Countries use battles won as their historical reference.

Every family has black sheep, im not saying mum, dad, brother or sister but some 2nd cousin or that uncle that noone invites over for christmas- so why should the royal family be any different?

If they opened a big University there, would Aberdeen be known henceforth, as the Grant City?
