The MOTD "experts" have picked an uncapped England XI which rather shows how easily caps are won these days - or have they simply picked the wrong people? No Steven Taylor, for example at CB, while they pick the muppet Ferdinand and the truly awful Williamson. Not to mention the ageing Harper over the impressive Forster in goal, and an average RB out of position at LB - couldn't they find a decent LB? I've fewer complaints about the front 6... Harper Naughton - Williamson - Ferdinand - Simpson Routledge - Gardner - Nolan - Taylor Lambert - Holt http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20576158
Have they really picked Anton Ferdinand? He's one of THE worst centre backs I have ever seen. He makes Rio look outstanding.
He has indeed... so they should really have stuck him there. Just another indication of how little thought they put into it.
Anyway, this would be my XI... Forster Naughton - S Taylor - Tomkins - Ridgewell Routledge - Gardner - Nolan - Dyer Lambert - Hooper Subs: Harper, Turner, M Taylor, Noble, Kightly, Etherington, Holt Shame I've been robbed of the likes of Martin Kelly, Leon Osman and Adam Lallana in recent months.
Pretty hard for anybody half decent and English not to get an England call-up these days. They had Caulker playing the other week and he's spent most of his career so far on loan at Championship level
Rio's been **** for at least 5 years. Anton's never been anything but ****. I completely agree with Jacques Cracker, anyone English who plays well for a few successive games is touted as the answer to all of England's many problems. Face it, boys; we're going to be **** for years.
1.Forster 2.Naughton 5.S.Taylor 6.Tomkins 3.Ridgewell 8.Britton 4.Gardner 11.Nolan 7.N.Dyer 9.Graham 10.M.Taylor
Matty Taylor is quite a good one theCasual, probably the best not to get picked I would say when you have the likes of Gareth Barry winning a load of caps
