Just don't say anything about Laura Robson, Jen!

That Pac-Man heat signature is amusing (and very random, I wonder what the explanation for that is)

Paris St Germain have begun talks with former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola in the hope of bringing him to the French capital next summer, says French sport newspaper L'Equipe. That will upset Chelsea!

'Astronomers think that the Pac-Man-shaped thermal signature appears on Saturn’s moon Tethys because of the way high-energy electrons bombard low latitudes on the side of the moon that faces forward as it circles around Saturn. Astronomers believe that the bombardment turns the forward-facing side of the moon into hard-packed ice. This icy surface does not heat as quickly in the sunshine or cool down as rapidly at night as the rest of the surface. Scientists theorize that discovering another Pac-Man on Saturn’s moon suggests that high-energy electrons can significantly alter the surface of an icy moon. Tethys is also being bombarded by icy particles from Enceladus’ plumes. This suggests that surface alteration is occurring more rapidly than its recoating by plume particles.'

Slightly disappointed that it has nothing to do with Pac Mans home planet, damn you Science.

    Mmmm, very interesting!

In other news, I've just completed an online test for the NHS Graduate Recruitment Scheme. Crickey that was intense. Completely ran out of time for the numeracy test though, but I think of the questions I did answer, I got them mostly right. Even still, it was definitely an experience. Somehow I don't think I'll make it to the next stage....

Perhaps they'll resign Di Matteo. They need an upturn in form.

Anyone watching what's taking place in Spain at the moment?

The Revista show was talking of upwards of ten top flight clubs going out of business or getting demoted to div 2.

    It's so sad.

Any idea on which clubs fall into that unfortunate category? I'd be very surprised if Deportivo wasn't one. Valencia have had some problems in the last few years as well.

On the other hand, Real Oviedo have been miraculously saved from extinction, thanks to donations from former players like Mata, Cazorla and Michu, and also an incredibly generous donation from Real Madrid. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/nov/29/real-oviedo-spain-premier-league

If Oviedo can be saved, any club can.

I doubt Bilbao fall into that, their lack of "superstars" so to speak means they're working well within their means. Plus they'll have raked in millions from the sale of Martinez.

I think that it's all set up for the second coming of "The Special One" next season....He has always said that he will manage in England again and is stalling on committing his future at Madrid beyond next season...Chelsea have already had most of the top coaches in the World except Guardiola and the only one that never got sacked was Mourinho...It might be a case of 'unfinished business' for Abramovic.

Deportivo were indeed the name mentioned as being in most trouble. I think Malaga have problems too but I only caught the tail end of it.

Bilbao are completely run by the Basques aren't they, you have to be a Basque to play etc; They've finally relented on shirt sponsors recently though, so must be short of cash somewhat.

Guess what, it's a Basque company that sponsors them!

I'm not sure what's led to Depor's enormous debt, but it is absolutely gigantic. How they managed to get promoted back to La Liga last season is beyond me. They're still playing club legend Juan Carlos Valeron, but he's 37 now. Andres Guardado was massive for them last season, but he moved to Valencia on a free transfer. In recent years they've had to sell Fabricio Coloccini, Albert Luque, Javier Arizmendi, Adrián and many others for far less than they were worth. Relegation was inevitable and it looked like they would go the same way as Oviedo.

I don't really know what's going on at Malaga. They're paying some massive wages there at the moment on players like Julio Baptista, Javier Saviola and Martin Demichelis, but they're playing in the Champions League and doing really well in the league. I thought they had loads of cash.

Long story short on Malaga; Debt riddled club, rich Qatari owner comes in, doesn't resolve debt issues properly, spends a ****load on players and even more on wages, realises he's made a woopsie, stops paying player's wages, sells Cazorla and Rondon and releases others to raise funds, and now is trying to sell the club and run. Massive mess basically.

Just discovered my favourite game ever, Final Fantasy 8, has been made available on the PlayStation Store. I purchased it immediately and it is now downloading. I may disappear for a month or two.
