Meanwhile, back on the subject, bringing in another keeper would mean losing an outfield player and limit what CH can do about bringing in any new players in January. Does City need another GK more than a goal-scoring striker? I think not, and would be happy with Rudd and Steer as back-ups.
I don't think we need another keeper unless either Ruddy's injury is worse than advertised OR something Ruddy-related is on the cards for January. I think that if JR is staying and going to be back in the New Year then Bunn and Ruud will be more than adequate cover.
Tbh, jr getting injured might prove to be a blessing in disguise and prevent someone coming in for him in January for silly money. I think we are pretty well placed with keepers and can't think why we would want another one. This is the reason we got Bunn after all! But then, I couldn't see why we bought Bunn, so shows how much I know!
To play Devil's advocate, would you rather have sold Ruddy in January for silly money, or him go in the summer for a more sensible sum?
If we're talking preferences, I'd rather he stayed with us till he's 40, then move on for a World record fee!
No. Two tner first class replacements who not let us down. Was meant to be: No. We have two other first class replacements who have not let us down.
Sad really. It used to be supping copious quantities of ale that led to that drivel! Nows it's bloody little pink pills!
