I was going on the starting line-up in the last game. Wisdom didn't play, Enrique was at LB and shelvey played too
Apologies for the correction -- I keep forgetting you are our chief spell-meister. Not sure why I was so pedantic, I'm not in a fowl mood* or anything! *intentional turkey pun!
Ah, gotcha! We'll see, but we should be able to beat West Ham providing we can score. If not, I see another 0-0.
as a Saints fan and after watching your most deserved win against us, a couple of things struck me 1. Stirling really is not all hype and will be a quality player, 2.our keeper who is young and has been shaky was not put under any pressure by your guys, he had time to palm any shots and was then protected by our CBs. Im sure its painfully clear to you guys, but Saurez creates chances and no one is there to convert them- it was the same against Spurs. Do you think Carroll will be coming back in Jan or will you be looking for a proven goalscorer, some lazy arse reporters have thrown Lamberts name in the hat, whilst I believe he will not move and we would not sell him, he would thrive with the service fom Saurez and would have scored at least 2 for you on Saturday
Some good points made indeed. How old is Lambert? We have a pretty strict transfer policy. Who ever is signed to score goals will be expected to play as a WF making narrow runs in the space ahead of Suarez. Carroll doesnt suit that wich means he will not return. Would Lambert suit that?
He's 30, so according to our policy that's too old. Probably not the sort of player we're after anyway.
It's funny referring to someone much younger than myself as 'too' old. Another sport and he'd be approaching the peak of his abilities.
He is a much harder worker than most give him credit for, popping up on the wing from ime to time- does Carroll have a future with you guys as I for one thought the combination of him and Saurez would be pretty unstopable, niether players will get you 30 goals in a season but they create alot and know how to score but it would mean Saurez playing in a wider position
I actually am close to this I would RATHER see Gerrard and suso swap and we abando nthe sahin experiment as he's just been too lightweight and will just leave us for real. we need him to play better when he gets a chance to prove that wrong. Allen is going to be great, why drop him? ------------------Reina Johnson----Skrtel-------Agger------Enrique ----------- Lucas-------Allen ---------------Gerrard/Suso ----Suarez-------GOALS--------Sterling/Borini I think we need a real forward and i do think this false 9 thing is rubbish, ok fine it wokrs for a side with 78% possession that plays no cbs and no striker but we've not got those playersm when suarez drops out nobody is getting in past him. I would like us to seriously buy another top player if we can and see who goes where. the only place i disagree at all is making gerrard and auto pcik while dropping allan. the three of sahin, suso and gerrard need to fight for one attacking midfield berth.
