Hello there, does anyone here like the NFL?

If so, come on down to the American football forum, on not606 for some gridiron based fun.

    See you there!

Been a Bronco since 72 when I lived in Colorado. John Elway was near the same class as Messi!

Yep, been a big fan since the boom of the mid 80's, unfortunately, I'm a Raiders fan and they're in a similar boat to the R's.

I know a lot of football fans don't like it but I think it's a great sport to watch. The only thing that really, really gets on my nerves is the fact that the winners of the Super Bowl call themselves "World Champions"?? I have no doubt that they are the best 32 teams in the world but still, it's a bit rich to call yourselves World Champions when you don't play a single team from outside the USA!!! The Yanks do it with basketball and baseball too, their finals are called "World Series" but I guess that's Americans for you??

Nice! I have opened up a who do you support, introduction thread on the American football board and you guys would be very welcome to join in.

I noticed that on quite a few boards people were chatting about the NFL, so if we could all get together in one place, it would be a busy board hopefully.

I cleaned up the spam that was there too!

Big fan of Eli Manning. He swung me towards Giants from always being a Cowboy in the past when he turned Super Bowl XLII on it's head. Huge underdog against a 12-0 Patriots in the final. What a final that was!

For pure entertainmant nothing beats the NFL.

Yeah the Yanks are all conceited little cnuts. They think America IS the world.
That point about baseball - I remember a couple years ago, I was watching the "World Series" with a mate, and JUST to TRY to LEGITIMIZE that name, the commentators try to sell it to the viewers that it was "truly a World Series" just for the fact that it had many players from other countries playing against each other!!!!! F'ing hilarious, if you ask me. This is how they lose meaning of the words in the English language and have now started to adopt the "British" way of speaking all over in its slang!

And the Yanks can't even beat the Japanese in the World Baseball Classic. <laugh>

Cricket is the true sport <laugh>

Yes definitely only a fan ;) NFL doesn't have anything to do with loyalty for me, purely entertainment. And I got tired of seeing Tony Romo fall on his a*** all the time. Little brother Manning stood out when "no one" believed in him, a true American hero :)

Oh, and then there's the cheerleaders... Tampa Bay wins that contest hands down!

Sounds like you doing more than me, I hardly follow it anymore, only see games when I visit an American friend. But if I hear the Broncos are playing I will watch...
