Well we can all agree our defence is not good enough. What defenders would you be happy to stay in plcae for the rest of the season?
Personally Clyne and Shaw have looked good. I think Jose has improved recently but Maya has disappointed after a strong start. For me it's some additional LB cover and one maybe 2 CB's. Keeper is another issue. I would keep faith with Gazza but understand the demand for change. Trouble is who?
Your "tough local secondary school" kids must be very well behaved then St G., because we (Norwich) are currently top of the PL Fair Play league. It's not a question of being "too nice", it's more a case of wise-ing up to how you need to play the game in this league.
Our two full backs have done well and Fonte has developed his game no end. Yoshida is getting better but has quite a way to go yet so I would say we need a decent left sided centre back. We also need a very good goalkeeping coach because Gazzaniga is impressive but naive. We don't need another keeper. As good as Puncheon has been this season he has not been lethal in his finishing so that needs to be worked on or we need a another wide right player to replace/cover him. So if I was Nigel that is where I would strengthen, a good centre half and a fast right sided player with flair who can score.
Shaw has promise as does Clyne but can we gamble on them for League assurance? Yoshida, Gazzaniga and Fonte no way, they simply are not good enough at the moment.
Exactly. Strong enough to stand up to any bullying, street wise enough to avoid being conned by the opposition and to stay within the limits of official patience! Early on last season we gave away a penalty in virtually every game before we started learning how it is in the PL.
I remember that - we were sort of doing the same in our early games. Then we dropped Hooiveld and it stopped. We also always leave a nice red apple on the referee's desk before the game.
Thanks. Its been several days since other fans have been on here to patronise us. And gomarchingin, you're still a twat.
What the uninformed on here must realise, is that what Gom posts, is actually his opinion, and not a matter of fact and replies should reflect this.
See, he asked to be my friend I accepted in good grace, I got a month ban for that insult and I said it in a laughing tone, ah well turn the other cheek.
What specific players? Do not know at the moment but we should be looking at a quality centre back (pace or no pace) and a left back with Premiership, top flight experience and obviously the international caps to go with it.
