Hello there, does anyone here like the NFL?

If so, come on down to the American football forum, on not606 for some gridiron based fun.

    See you there!

Not a fan of NFL, there are some teams in the Swansea area and we used to keep an eye on them while the kids played proper footy, I don't know if it's the norm but they would spend hours warming up before playing a game and I mean 2-3 hours.

Play nice you grumpy old bastard, it's just someone trying to drum up interest in what is probably a very quiet board.

Half a dozen or so 200lb big lads slamming into another half a dozen 200lb big lads, one who can chuck an egg shaped ball a fair distance & another one who can run like a whippet & catch it

    Have I missed anything out?

I prefer to think of it as Padded Rugby.

Aye. You missed the bit where the bloke accidentally chucks the ball to the opposition, who then jog to the other end of the pitch and score cos none of the attacking players can tackle for ****...

  11. To be fair, American Football isn't too dissimilar to watching Everton... the ball is in the air travelling fifty yards a lot <whistle>

You lot are the ones with a 'quarterback' in their midfield mate, launching his hollywood 50 yarders to the lino <ok>

I often refer to it, perhaps unfairly, as Rugby Football for unfit pansies.

They also have breaks after ... pretty much anything happens! Oh, and they have different teams for everything -- offence, defense, kicking, cheering! -- so they don't work up a sweat. Lazy buggers! <laugh>

There is an advert break after every 5 seconds of play. A 60 minute game takes 5 hours to watch!
