I see and hear that the mopes in Newcastle run out to the theme tune from Local Hero.

FFS thats just ruined my memories of a great film, a wonderful sond and nobody answering the phone in the red phone box.

"and tell me, are there two g's in bugger off?"

    classic line

Not got a problem with Newcastle (my niece supports them somewhat bizarrely for a 6 year old born and bred in north london) but Mark knopfler is a different matter. Rubbish guitarist and abysmal song writer. Never was a band as aptly named as Dire Straits.

I would say he was a competent guitarist, very melodic and a decent songwriter...it's just that he sounds like a half asleep suicide candidate when he sings<ok>
