Did it escape everyone's notice that MOTD3 picked an uncapped England XI and Rickie Lambert was in a strike force pairing with Grant Holt. Bet that made the fans of Rochdale proud.

Made a Saints fan happy as well. Must make Ricky wish he had joined a team like ours sooner and knuckled down with his fitness. Still think too many people see him as an old-fashioned centre forward (which he isn't).

Have to say I don't think much of the defence or midfield haha. Lambert and Holt up top are a fearsome prospect, but I think in practice it'd be a bit of Ba and Cisse affair.

Like to see you call Lambert cisse to his face.

Lambert is not a cisse, he would be Ba, Holt is the cisse. ;)

Have to say that uncapped 11 is pretty unimpressive, it's hardly any wonder none of them have caps! Anton Ferdinand?

Lambert, Holt, Naughton have maybe got a chance, I can't see any of the others getting capped.

    And where's Lallana?

He'd been doing the business for many a season and just got overlooked. He ballooned out when he lost confidence that he'd ever make it in the higher divisions, where he knew he was capable of playing. Rickie's is a story of frustration, loss of confidence and form, before he was eventually noticed by Alan Pardew, and then there have been a very happy last few chapters. You'll note he shook AP's hand the other week, against Newcastle.

Is it bad that I expected Cork, Lallana, Clyne, Shaw, Punch and Jay Rod to be in there as well. Anyway Ferdinand has probably been the worst player in the Premier League so far this season.

I saw this already and thought to myself 'Do they not realise Lallana is uncapped?'
