With regards to your last point, of course that's how it generally works (Liverpool aside like) which is fine if the money being spent is created from within the club. What's wrong is when the likes of Abramovich fund the spending outside of the football clubs revenues. Mansour has now followed suit at City, if you followed it to it's ultimate conclusion every PL would be owned by a Billionaire & the richest one would win! It remains to be seen if FFP levels the playing field, somehow I doubt it, so as long as Abramovich is breathing & still interested, you'll be Ok............
