I reckon that whoever MoN wants has already been targeted and tentative enquiries already been made to their clubs. We need to act quickly and hopefully its not dragging on until the last death throws of the window. Centre back; Central midfield play-maker; big strong central midfield enforcer; 2 strikers (1 minimum) Sorted
I accept this is what we need but I realy can't see that many coming in , if we can get 2 genuine signings in and by that I mean 2 real " I want " targets and not 3 or 4 to make the numbers up I would be happy.
Shiney, 3 or 4 weeks ago I was of the opinion that 2 would suffice but to be brutally honest mate, we NEED 3 or 4 minimum now and as you say, real targets not just make do's. Martin needs 3 or 4 new options to change our fortunes or else this is going to be a long hard slog.
Cest I would love to see it happen but is there enough quality around in the January window, also if you do find someone they tend to be very inflated prices. Multiply that X 4 and you can see how unlikely it may be.
What quality of player can we bring in tho due to the position we find ourselves in? Either MON is a very persuasive bloke, we have a fab December and improve our position or we pay over the top or were gonna struggle to bring in quality. Another concern is, what if someone comes in for Mig, Sess, Rose etc. Will they stay?
Rose, permanent. Two creative midfielders. One quality striker. Get rid of - Vaughn, Colback, Campbell and Ji
Well, at the very minimum we need a striker, central midfielder who can boss the game for us and a centre half and around £24m well spent I reckon. Charlie Austin from Burnley £7m; Diame from W Ham £7m; Andreas Granqvist from Genoa £3m; Tom Ince from Blackpool £7m Season rescued.
Given O'Neill's tendency to only buy British I think you'll get two at most due to the "premium" pricing of British players. Can't see you spending more than 15-20 million tops and these days that'll only get you two players if they're "home grown".
