There isn't going to be a better opportunity than this. I don't see it somehow though. Pardew's sides aren't ruthless enough to really go for the kill. We didn't score 4 at all in the league last season, despite our excellent season.

Fergie a big plus since he came on

 

FFS Santon, Ba and wtf was up with Tiote - the yellow card issue no doubt but another two of best players out now!!!!!!!! hamstrings ffs 4 weeks

 

Thought Fergie had a good game, Anita and Marveaux were our driving force. Gutierrez. Cisse and Sammy were ****e.

Krul - 6 - nowt to do
Simpson - 6 - nowt to do, ****e crossing
Willo - 6 - nowt to do, solid though
Colo - 6 - nowt to do, some important interceptions though
Santon - 7 - played well
Tiote - 5 - too many fouls and dispossessed a few too many times. Some good passes though
Anita - 8 - good all round
Marveaux - 8 - see Anita
Gutierrez - 4 - ****e
Cisse - 5 - slightly better than Jonas
Ba - 6 - scored 2 but wasn't all that

Fergie - 7 - perfect LB display
Bigi - 7 - forgetting about the goal his passing and tackling was brilliant
Sammy - 4 - ****e

 

@OptaJoe: 1 - Newcastle United have lost only one of their last 24 Premier League home games played on a Monday. Pumped.

 

Roll on Fulham

 

Anita, Santon, Fergie and Bigi played some excellent stuff tonight. Jonas looks shot, Sammy, sorry not for me and Tiote lucky not to be booked yet again. If he's booked against Fulham he misses the Man City game.

 

Think Jonas needs a rest to recharge his batteries.

 

To be honest I'd tell Tiote to try and get booked. Not sure he's need to try but might as well miss Citeh and be back for games we can realistically win
