Following GFH & Leeds United going public on LUST's involvement it is time for your side of the story Gary. Silence will be an admission of guilt.
Words will not be enough. you will need proof in the form of something conctrete. You have over played a hand and GFH have called your bluff. Even if you get a statement out LUST is finished unless those in charge step aside. The AGM should be pulled, a statement issued and the AGM reconvened. If you cannot back up your statements right back to June you have to go. Better to be honourable than be pushed out at an EGM IMHO.
Right behind you Gary. ANYONE who aligns with Bates is no friend of mine, and I've tweeted Haigh to tell him this. Even if LUST have been misled by someone (and agent of Bates wouldn't surprise me!), Haigh had no right to call it out in public. The clear message he's sent out by doing this is that the new regime wants nothing to do with LUST. I am now terrified to think about what's going on here. Talk about our amateur LUST luminaries making mistakes? This is a whopper by Haigh. I'm incandescent with rage.
People can refuse to align with Bates and yet still not be behind Gary. It's not as black and white as that.
Well LUST have been lying to the public so why shouldn't Haigh call it out in public if what has been said is wrong, come on WJ I thought you were better than that. I think after this LUST are finished and I feel it proves my hunch that they were feeding us garbage all the way along, does that make me a friend of Bates? I think we all need to cool down a little
You've both got the wrong end of the stick! I'm calling out Haigh as aligning with Bates! That's why I'm so furious. Just because people don't like what's going on with GC or LUST doesn't align them with Bates. I wouldn't dare suggest such a thing. Read my post again!
Is it seriously possible that no-one else has noticed that GFH are denying that they have been in "DIRECT CONTACT" with LUST where LUST claim to have talked to "REPRESENTATIVES" of GFH? I'm guessing Bates has instigated this "joint statement" in order to turn LUST against GFH and the fans against both GFH and LUST. It's working, so it's no wonder he's held on for so long.
Go through some of the other posts mate, LUST via twitter and Facebook have made it clear that it is an Employee Bottom line is one way or another Haigh has decided to discredit LUST - a sign he doesn't see them as having a future with the new owners?
You're going to disagree with whatever anyone who disagrees with you says. LUST could have a video of them talking to David Haigh and you wouldn't believe it, so no, I'm not going to try to convince someone who is can't be convinced, as it's already clear you trust anyone over your fellow fans.
Agreed mate, believe it or not I am starting to feel sorry for GC tonight, he is getting a right ripping everywhere, I feel a bit guilty for being too harsh
I don't agree with most of how LUST have operated, the thing is they did what they felt was best for the club and supporters, they meant no harm. Too much trumpet blowing has rubbed people up the wrong way, myself included. So when this news broke we were all quick to jump on the nah nah I told you so bandwagon. Maybe they have spoken to an employee maybe they were led up the garden path (on more than one occasion), maybe it was an employee who bigged himself up, either way it looks like a sad ending for LUST and I just hope this isn't a Bates move to finish LUST off before pulling the plug on a T/O deal.
I'm always inclined to support LUST as they are fellow fans acting in, at the very least what they believe to be, the best interests of the club and fans. Bates and his cronies will never do that. Possibly Haigh doesn't know there is an employee leaking information? As I said earlier though, this seems to have Bates written all over it. As for your last sentence, I saw this on WACCOE, and while it's slightly too tinfoil hat-ish for my liking, it's scary how believable it still is in the end: "All thats left now is for Bates to pull out of the deal, blaming the buyers of course, my guess will be breaching confidentiality, most likely after ST renewals are done and dusted, and he will have successfully.... Gotten an easy ride during the summer transfer window Bullshitted Warnock into staying on Stolen 4 million that should have went to the manager Destroyed the Trusts credibility"
IF that was his plan, and he did manage to pull it off...as much as I despise the man, I would have to admit he's one crafty little ****er. I think (hope!) however, that that's just slightly beyond his capabilities.
