Easier than picking our forward line for the weekend <laugh>

I'd put Morgan up there personally, have Gerrard right and Sterling left. Put Lucas, Allen and Suso in the middle. Doubt he'll do that but I'm not sure we should be trying any other player as a "false" 9 (I hate that description btw) when we haven't got anyone else who'll play it like Luis.

Might be worth having Sterling up top for a game...well if Walcott can do it....worth a go?

I would start with Shelvey as false number nine.

Him Cole and Suso played some excellent stuf in the Europa.

Gerrard or Shelvey for me. Shelvey did it in the Europa game and scored against Young Boys and Gerrard is probably the best finisher we have.

My worry about Gerrard is whether he has the legs for the job. He's probably the best option both physically and in terms of finishing, but bearing in mind that Suarez often comes deep due to our lack of numbers going forward at times, I'm not sure if Gerrard can do that for 90 mins

    We don't have one mate!

    **** knows why though.

    I blame Thatcher.

  9. Whoever we put there, they are not going to attempt to duplicate Suarez, they are going to play their own way. I'd put Gerrard in there, no one else comes close to his finishing IMO. Might stop the hollywood balls plus him not tracking won't matter so much.

Sterling and Enrique either side with Suso just behind. Allen and Lucas in middle <ok>

    Reina
    Wisdom - Skrtel - Agger - Johnson
    Lucas - Allen
    Suso
    Sterling - Gerrard - Enrique

    Yeah could stick Gerrard there.

Lucas and Allen in the centre.

A goal might get Stevie's confidence up too.

Shelvey as the striker, with Sahin coming in to Gerrard's position against Southampton and Gerrard as a wide midfielder.

None of this false 9 ****e, nd please not Shelvey. His first touch is aweful. I'd play Morgan or yessil. It has to be a recognised striker. None if this 4-6/0 nonesense. We are not Spain. We are not Barcelona. We are Liverpool. YNWA

Yeah but having a front three did work in the Europa League for us mate.

We created chances and scored goals - the first probably the best we've scored this season.

Warrior needed a good player as a front man so they turned to an Everton player, wonder why they didn`t pick a player fromt he team they sponser?

They were in negotiations with Agger & Suarez, apparently. Obviously they couldn't offer either of them a lucrative enough deal so they didn't sign with them.
