Well what a last few weeks its been and one which has seen us make excellent progress after what some were saying that we were having a 'blip'. Michu , Hernandez and Routledge have laid claim to the Player of the Month title but players worthy of consideration should in my opinion include Tremmel and Ben Davies who have been excellent. Our defense has stood firm when many were expecting us to be fragile at the back following Vorm's and Chico' absence. But only 4 goals conceded in 5 games excluding Saturday's clean sheet has shown we are a difficult team to beat home or away.
Given his inexperience, Ben Davies deserves a mention quite right. Neil Taylor is going to have a fight on his hands to get his jersey back next season if Ben continues to improve for the rest of the season. Another nice selection problem for the gaffer.
there are so many players who deserve player of the month to be honest but if im going to select a player who have surpassed what a lot of fans had expected from him then it has to be young Ben .....that young man has come in earlier than anticipated and has not let his team mates down.....everyone has done well from tremmell to michu but for sheer determination and so young then my vote goes to Ben Davies....
I don't think anybody would argue on who we think would be player of the month. It could be any number of players we could all have a different choice from Monk filling in so well for Chico, Tremmel, Hernandez, Michu, Davies etc sorry I can't say who it would be. Better than player of the month more like Team of the Month.
Definitely Hernandez. He's cemented his rep as playmaker for me against West Brom and just seems to be getting better and better. Would put a word in for Nathan Dyer too. Scored a big goal against Southampton and he's helped keep the tempo really high late in the games. Thought he was brilliant in driving Jenkinson back into his own half at the end of the game last weekend.
So have I and you're right!! As for the rest of the lads, too difficult to call for me. So many of them have put in huge performances.
Hernandez for me, starting to settle and show the quality that means £5.5million could be a bargain!
id go with jackdan, hernandez has been quite brilliant this last month. he just oozes class luckily i missed him when we were a hole behind up at earlswood the day after his debut, shanked one and nearly caught him on the next tee
A mention for Ash is deserved too. Many of us were unhappy with his performances earlier in the season but I haven't really noticed many errors recently. thumbs up davies has exceptionally well as has Rangel who has also improved a great deal of late. Tremell has surprised me the most as we just plain haven't missed Vorm (yet). Michu and Pablo are tied as my vote though.
Ben for me ,not because he's scored goals or anything as spectacular because strikers /mid field players with a lot more experience than him are expected to, it's because he's improving every game and some of the recent games where he's made over lapping runs and passes to with Pablo has been simply great. He's grown into that position and one that Neil Taylor will have to fight to get back.As the games have gone on this has affected Ash's game (in a positive way) as he appears to be more focused on his game rather than worry about Bens'
