Calm down crackerman,as I said I'd seen the character before but didn't know his name, There's no need to make a big thing of it. I watched the first Star Wars but haven't seen the sequels. I'm not vehement about Lloris being MVP s it's only an opinion and no need to be serious about it. If you're really not going to take me seriously anymore because of that well what can I say. Come on calm down.

Going off subject slightly, I have a mate who is 28 who has never seen any Star Wars film, any Indiana Jones film or any Back to the Future films. He supports Leeds so it can't be Thor. ;-)

Have you been in prison for the last couple of decades or something?!
No offence TMT, but that's a big gap between films.

I prefer films which have good acting rather than action ie Rainman with Dustin Hoffman or The silence of the Lambs with Hopkins,Misery with Kathy Bates. Brilliant acting. Films with human interest like The Elephant Man or Dances With Wolves but no,I'm not really a man for films. Anyway this isn't about me it's about MVP,sorry I brought attention to myself.

It's a famous gay romance. A spiritual prequel to Brokeback Mountain, which I now realise you won't have seen...

There might be a case for a favourite film thread, but the trouble with that is we've all got our favourites and are unlikely to change anyone else's mind. Perhaps the best we can hope for is 'yeah I like that one too'.

nobody can have Shawshank Redemption as a favourite either by default...its always in there!

i think TMT will get round to watching 'Lord of the Rings' around 2030.

All I said was Lloris and I get all this unwarranted attention,it's all GHoddle's fault for liking Lloris so much. Ok then, somebody start a thread telling us all about each other and not just a thread about me,I wouldn't want that. Let's start a "Who are you?" thread.

If anyone has an idea for a thread.................start it! Some posters post very few and others post a lot. It would be interesting to see some from the less prolific posters.

    We can always close them.<devil>

EDIT: I realise that you start quite a few TMT <ok>

Defoe pulls ahead this week. West Ham were halfway to a draw, and Defoe scored one of the best individual goals of the season. That set the tone for the game, and I would say for the week.

Until this week I would have said Sandro. He does so much every game to win the midfield battle.

I'd rate Vertonghen third. Not only has he had a lot of brilliant contributions (goal against Man U, anyone?), he's filled two positions in an injury-racked defense.

Dembele has been our key (as opposed to most valuable) player. I think we've won 7/8 when he's started. If he can stay healthy he may end up being most valuable as well, but he's only played half our games so far.

As great as Bale has been, for some reason we don't seem to miss him as much as Lennon. Unfortunately, we're about to test that theory. But as it stands, I'd put Bale and Lennon about tied behind Defoe, Sandro and Vertonghen.

Also...thanks for the stats, THFC. Interestingly, they don't jibe with ESPNs @ http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/assists/_/league/eng.1/barclays-premier-league?cc=5901. In particular, ESPN credits Dembele with 3 PL assists. Knowing American stat keepers, they've probably figured out a way of figuring them that inflates numbers.

It's interesting that Gylfi is one of the point/minute leaders--while he's been slagged by most for underperforming most of the year (though not last game.)
