Patriots win AFC East again, I bet they get to SB and lose like always.

They might meet Atlanta Falcons there. Very solid outfit, I thought TB had their measure the week before, but they ground out the win.

Who do you think will then, from the NFC?

Atlanta are three games ahead of any other NFC team and look the real deal to me.

I would suggest that only Green Bay and maybe NY could challenge them.

It's a false record. They've had narrow wins against not very good teams and certainly do not pass the eyeball test. I prefer Packers, Bears, 49ers and possibly Giants - Falcons don't have enough about them to reach the SB just yet. If they do I'll be very surprised.

Vikings so annoying, if we had another decent WR think we'd be a real threat. Yesterday not one of our WR's got open until the final 2 minutes of the entire game. This is with the best RB in the NFL playing for us which makes the opposition stack the middle of the field to stop him, leaving all the WR's one on one. Granted Ponder is also pretty **** at throwing the ball further than 5 yards, but even a Manning or a Rodgers couldn't do much with the current WR core we have.

Definitely too many question marks over them to mark them as anywhere near favourites. When you look at their schedule it's been a cakewalk, they've played the Chiefs, Chargers, Panthers, Raiders, Eagles and the Cardinals who have all been terrible, the Bucs, Cowboys, Redskins and Saints who have all been competitive for the most part but not exactly elite and all have had their weak points. And the closest thing they've come to playing in the shape of an elite team is the Broncos, and that was early in the season before they got into gear. And they made a right meal out of beating some of those teams, so all in all their record is a bit of a false one. Combine that with their lack of play-off success and at this stage it's hard to really put them as contenders. But if they get it together, and particularly if their defense plays like it does against the Saints... who knows.

As a side note, please, please let the Colts and Broncos match-up in the wildcard round, that would just be fantastic to watch. Not to mention that would make the other game Steelers at Ravens which would be great as well.

Denver basically threw that game, anyway. Manning had a nightmare first half. I definitely agree with you... except for Colts v Broncos. Don't think I could take that emotionally :(

Haha would certainly be a tough one for Colts fans, but as a neutral the prospect of that spectacle is mouth-watering to say the least. On a related note, if the Colts do make the play-offs, how do you think they would compete? Just happy to get there regardless of how you do, or do you think you could actually make any progress?

I'm delighted we're even in position to make them. If we lose out, then 8-8 is still twice as good as the 4-12 I predicted. Honestly, I reckon we'll go 10-6 with wins over KC and Tennessee, so I think we can make the playoffs. However, the teams we'll be facing - which will likely be either Denver or Baltimore - are far better than us. Out at the wildcard, I reckon, which I'd still be absolutely over the moon with. That said, Ravens lost to Charlie Batch, sooooo...

But they get the job done, believe me as a Bucs fan, I don't want them to win anything, but I just think their name is on it this year.

It's the same with the Texans, they top the league because they win games.

"Getting the job done" is all well and good to get to the playoffs - look at what Colts are doing this year - but you need a lot more than that to actually win! There are just several better football teams than Falcons. Texans, on the other hand, are a very strong side. They have a far better chance of success than Atlanta do because as well as winning games, they look like they're actually SB quality. Falcons look like a good, playoff worthy side who stumble their way into a very flattering record.

The point mainly being - can you honestly tell me you would expect to see Falcons win against Broncos, Niners, Patriots, Texans, or even Packers, Bears and Giants? If you honestly think they'd come out on top in a one on one match against all of those teams, then great. If not, there we go.

Imagine that, a Texans v Falcons SB, I think I'd give it a year off.

The Texans won't make the Super Bowl. They'll get further than the Falcons, but I just don't see how they could get in ahead of a team like the Patriots. Next week's game at the Patriots will be very interesting, to see if they're really to be taken seriously in the playoffs.

The Seahawks could easily win their last 4 games, but that game at home to the 49ers will be crucial. But at this rate being the 6th seed, they'd currently be going up against the Packers in the Wildcard round, which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence...
