Hospitalised an Irish Sun photographer in Dublin last night by gouging his eye and ear. West Ham had their Christmas dinner there last night...you heard it here first...the story won't have broken anywhere yet but it will.
Why would a London side have a Christmas party in Dublin? Not commenting on actual event (as you say unconfirmed) but surely asking for trouble. Out of sight, out of mind. When Cortese arrived, he instituted a black tie Xmas party not just for the team, but for all employees. As he said, everyone loves to dress up and enjoy themselves. Don't know whether we have a team only boys night out as well, but there's enough trouble at such events to cause concern.
I know another Irish Sun snapper who is friends with the guy in hospital. He's trying to find him now to take his photograph for the story breaking. Yeh it's ridiculous a Premiership team going on a booze filled excursion for Christmas, they could have stayed in London. When you think of some of the players they have and you add alcohol and a night out it's a recipe for disaster. Also noticed a guy posted on a celebrity spot website that he saw Carroll kicking the **** out of a photographer on Grafton Street.
I look forward to seeing him bailed out by his lawyers and then given a 50k fine by the FA. Yay for drama!
I will wait for the facts rather than some rumour. Who is to say the other bloke was the innocent party in all of this? Who says it was "booze fuelled"? We don't know anything yet. Nothing wrong with a night out after a great win with over a week until the next fixture IMO. I hope for your sake there is something in this or you will come across like a right gossiping old woman.
WTF are you talking about? Carrol was in Dublin. There is a photo of the night out on KUMB. By "other bloke" I'm talking about the bloke he was having a fight with.
Why would I hope there's something in this?, don't really hope some random reporter gets beaten up and his eye gauged tbh. If it's true it proves what a twat Carroll is. Even if the reporter did something to aggro Carroll that's no excuse to gouged someone's eye, that's just ****ing sick. I actually hope it isn't true as it seemed Carroll had turned a corner and had grown up, guess we will see.
I was talking to the original poster. If this turns out to be bollocks then he has started a rumour. If he has got into a fight with someone we need to find out why before we just decide it was all Carrols fault. And who says he gouged his eye? We don't know any facts yet.
The OP did? And I did say if true, we will see soon if it's true or not. As if it is the national media will jump all over it.
Exactly. Some bloke on an Internet forum. It's a rumour and until we know the facts we can't make judgement. For all we know, the bloke wound him up and Carrol clumped him and broke his nose. I'm not saying it definitely isn't true, just that I can't find anything on it anywhere else and until we know the facts, we shouldn't be saying things like "not surprising considering his past" etc.
I hope it isn't, hope he learnt from his past mistakes. If true do you think Sam will send him back?.
Oh of course, I don't doubt that if it does turn out to be true that there was an 'altercation' (I'm sure that's what it'll be referred to as), that it will come out that Carroll was merely defending himself, and that the cameraman did something terrible like take his photo or bump into him, which of course would prompt the response of someone trying to blind you. It'll be another great day for justice, like when Gerrard was saved from wrongful prosecution for him and his mates beating a guy to within an inch of his life because he changed the song on the stereo at a bar, that fiend.
Again, WTF? He WAS in Dublin. The whole team was. There is a photo on twitter of them all on their night out. So what? I am going by what the OP said. If there was a fight (and that's a big IF) we don't know what it was about, and we don't know whether there was indeed "eye gouging".
