Nope Cortese is delighted with me. 2nd in the League, top of my Champions League group (ahead of Barcelona) with 1 game to go!
I seem to concede straight after scoring a goal a lot. I've heard the saying that you're most vulnerable after you're score, but it's getting ridiculous. Any idea how I can solve this conundrum?
Cortese agrees with me that we need a work permit feeder club, but cannot find a suitable team. Hasn't been able to for over a season now. What's the point of this game if I cannot sign every talented Brazilian/Argentinian/African teenager in the world!?
I once found an amazing Canadian winger who had amazing stats and keen on signing for me, but they wouldn't give me a work permit. I could have cried! Maybe he's played more games for his NT now, I should try again perhaps.
That's unrealistic; everyone knows that talented Canadian players waffle for several years about playing for the national side, and then instead commit to a country where they once vacationed five years ago. (Slightly bitter)
Backstory: I'm an idiot, only finished 4th in the Prem, and then somehow lost my playoff on away goals. Therefore, I find myself stuck in the Europa League. Plus side, it's the first time my defenders have ever shut out a team completely: please log in to view this image Yes, they did score.
He does; was also playing for Toronto FC for a few years. His brother desperately wants to play for the Dutch, though, and Junior Hoilett wants to play for just about any nation that isn't Canada.
Has Jonathan not been called up for Holland yet? He's played for the U21s I believe. Ah well, there's still Simeon Jackson, Atiba Hutchinson, Marcel de Jong, Olivier Occean....Iain Hume I guess? Yeah, could be better.
Well it doesn't matter anyway, he seems to have disappeared. Must have retired or something. What a shame his career was ruined by that stupid work permit system. And talking of unrealistic, England made the European Championship final after Switzerland had knocked out Spain in the Quarters. Crazy. Also, it's happened. The First mention of the phrase 'financial problems' in a news story. I can see it now. We're going to go into administration and have to sell all our players. ARGHGHGHGHGHGH.
Seriously, I have no idea how tiny your wage budget has to be able to break even in non-league football. Apparently 3.5k a week is too much! While having a good enough team to compete, I'm not sure it's even possible (unless you happen to manage one of the clubs that regularly get over 1000 in attendance in the conference south)
I tend to get through the north/south divisions with players earning £200 a week, max. My average age tends to be very low as well.
Yep, I think most of my players are on about 200-ish. Some quite a bit less, some, maybe 250 at most. And I have lots of kids When I started the game, I had loads of players on 400-450 a week, some of which late 20s or early 30s, and if you offer a mutual termination, you'll have to pay 16k or something ridiculous. Basically meant my wage budget for the first season (until their contracts ran out) was a ridiculous 6.5k, and most of them weren't even that good. I'm just hoping someone will come in to buy us out....
Just decided to test out the FM Classic mode and signed a couple of Brazilians with low release-clauses. The result is this incredible comeback against Chelsea thanks to inspired performances from Wellington Nem and Adryan.
That is why we play Fm ^^^^^ in 2018 with saints now, getting boring winning the league is getting far too easy so might start again. but this team make sure 5/11 players are saints academy. My team now has one player from the current saints team (cork).
