I still don't get why everyone is so sure it was a handball? The camera angle on the replays just shows it flash across the goal and end up in the net, you don't even see if McShane makes contact never mind with what part of his body. I think most of us will have had a better view at the game, myself included, but it all happened a bit fast and I thought it might have been an own goal at the time. Is it just because their keeper tried to claim it? I think they would have argued a lot more vociferously if they really did see a handball. You can tell in these situations, the half-hearted appeal is usually more in hope than expectation.
My instant reaction at the game was that it went in off his arm, whether it did or not it would have been very close to hitting his arm. I thought the smug look and smile he gave us when it went in confirmed it.
