and Norway, agree about how well the defence have coped but too close for comfort for me. Another versatile player (like Tatey but better) would ease some of my worries.
Im not sure if Tate was the sole reason, its good for him that he is getting games elsewhere it is a season over due IMO but thats just me, i guess its helped that Laudrup threw monk in to the team and he has had some games, probably less inclined to be grumpy if he knows he has played a part and he has in fairness. Maybe the media attention at the time put pressure on the players to back the manager publically, monk did say the players were angry with what was printed, dont think he saif the allegations were false though cant remember now! DG can stay at the Swans for me but the point made about the speed of our play catching him out is IMO a valid one, there is alot more movement and speed to our play this season and DG often seemed half a yard short LAST year!! he is often slow to anticipate chances, if you look at Michu's first goal yesterday he was already making his run before luke passed it, danny would probably have started running AFTER the ball had been played, these are such small fractions but they mean the difference between scoring and not scoring at this level. DG has done very well since coming here, im not sure whats going on with him this season but i think he can still offer us an option, he has never shirked his work rate and that has sometimes meant alot of sacrifice in his own chances and play up front
I do like the look of Luke Moore, yes he's not going to do the running of Danny, but he's got a great footballing brain. Id be starting him before Schecter. What frustrates me is Scheter getting offside so often, and not looking along the line. Some of his offsides were terrible, I'd be having a go at my boy if he did that during a game.
I think DG is a great option for us but if we are able to cash in and upgrade with £5-6m in the bank then all the better.
Every striker offers something good but doesnt offer the complete package(hence why they re so cheap init!) maybe we could gene splice the best of Moore,DG,Lita and Shector ?? then we would be fine ...
My view is not to go to mad in January as players are usually cost a bit more , no hang on for the summer after we have banked our 60 MILL PLUS, and let ML go shopping then! please log in to view this image
Imagine the player we would have if we took all the wrong slpiced genes... A bastard version of Moore, shcektor,DG and Lita = Aiden Newhouse/Linton Brown ....
Just want to say I really enjoy your team from the way they play to the charisma of your gaffer. Nothing to do with you screwing the neighbours yesterday. It's sometimes like watching Spurs's little brother play.
The trouble is (and what a great problem it is) the players we were raving about last season now are not fit to wear the shirt (in some peoples eyes ) ,it's called progression and where as before we would ignore weaknesses last year because of who we are and where we were then ,this year we've acquired better players and are now in a position to call a spade a spade when it comes to a players ability. Danny still has a part to play albeit a small one but I believe has more going for him than Scheter and Lita .IMO
I think Laudrup was happy enough with him pre-season saying that danny could score alot of goals for him this season, what is clear to see is that the new guys have totally overshadowed the old gaurd, as said above there has been progression. Who would have thought Nathan Dyer would be 3rd in the pecking order ? DG not getting games up front, Vorm out ,Taylor out both replaced by reserve players . there is a totally different feel to this side now and the older heads have to buy into the new ideas, i see Chico flores becoming very important here if he continues his form, he is a natural leader for me and i notice he buys into the team spirit and galvonises all around him. Our core hasnt been broken but its been enhanced and players like Britton and Dyer know they have to play well all the time, in fairness to both they hardly ever fall beneath a 7/10 but ive felt this season both have felt pressure from other potential players and that hasnt happened for a long time ! it can only be good for the whole squad. Teindelli looks like the next player on the verge of getting games, he looks a smashing player in the attcking 3rd , its all about options right now and there seem to plaenty of them even though we have really suffered with injury this season. If Brenden had the same problems last year it would have been touch and go for me if we had stayed up, just my opinion

Should michu get injured then maybe danny could give his position a crack, but don't put him as the loan striker as we will struggle for goals, luke moore should play there in the same formation of 4-4-1-1 that has stood us in good stead when we play that way...
