We have got to start more positively.Surely,it is time to play both Fletcher and Wickham up-front and to go at teams from the start. We are going to play Chelsea at an ideal time,as they are in a mini-slump.I know that we aren't flying high at the moment, but a good result against Chelsea would kick-start our season. If we stop being so negative, and pass the ball forward instead of backwards,we can rescue our season. We deserved at least a point today, but our negative start saw to it that we didn't get anything from a very winable game.

    Couldn't agree more Calm mate.
MON fan or not, he has to start the team on the front foot.

If Fletcher is out for a few games we may have even less bite at the next game.:emoticon-0101-sadsm

We did well that second half so clearly we are capable.
Bit more luck in front of goal and things could have been a hell of a lot different.

Can't rem if these figure are correct but...
Was it 15 shots and 7 on target?
That is some improvement from other games.

Im terrified for the Chelsea game because if they click they will twat us all over. They are fragile though so we need to get in their faces straight away and go at them.

The urgency and pressure in the second half was exactly what we have been missing all season.

We play Chelsea while they are in a bad run and, as we are a very accomodating team when it comes to giving poor teams that little lift they need to kick on we will get beat. Chelsea will then go on a long unbeaten run and we will be dragged into the ****e at the bottom. Glass is most definitely half empty at the minute and I can't see it getting any better anytime soon.

Feel really silly atm as I was really pleased with MON's appointment. The only way tactics will change is if we change the manager. HE was fully responsible for our first half performance as that is the way he sets up for every game. Not to lose instead of play to win. When he took the shackles of his players they began to play second half and looked like they were enjoying their football. Had they equalized he would have reverted to type and decide to 'hang on'. Lost all faith in him. Too negative, unable to change tactics mid game, poor use of subs, outdated approach......... taxi please. He has taken 18 pts from the last 22 premier games.

When we beat them 0-3 when they were league leaders, I always thought the lads had ignored Bruce and said **** it lets go for them.
It was also a match where everyone put a good shift in, we were still carrying too many passengers then.
Even Ricco put a good shift in if I recall rightly. :p

The most inept 44 minutes I have seen in 32 years of watching SAFC (I'm 46) the second half we could of had 6. Because we are SAFC we got none. Killgallon. Oh my frigging god. hang your head in shame.
I have a little optimism for Mclean Who tries but just has lost the plot and Larsson who should take up a new career as a professional lazy well paid useless c+nt.

Drop Mclean and Johnson (so out of form it's not real) Play Fletch, Conner and Campbell as a front 3 and just give it to Bardsley to hoooof it forward.(worth a go!!!)
