Assuming the worst case scenario for January in the we have little funds for transfers... Are there any loan signings you think we could realistically go for as a short term stop gap?

I know Benni started as a loanee.......

Unless they are Benni sort of standard I think they see it as dead money. I think its viable though with our current predicament.

Wouldn't happen but could do a lot worse than Beckham, it would lift the team and offer a threat from set plays at the very least.

I'd take him over Obertan any day.

Becks could still do a good job and some of his experience could rub off on the younger players and that in itself would be a bonus.

Wouldn't like to see Olive Oyl come with him though.

Drogba not allowed on loan, Chelsea have already tried for his services.

No, he asked for special dispensation to go on loan early (before the international loan window opens), so he could get fit before the ACoN. FIFA said no, but he would be able to go on loan when the window opens

Wouldn't have Guthrie personally, never rated him that highly. He improved slightly in his last season when he lost the chubb but soon regressed. His ability to squander possession is not what we need at present, nor his penchant for giving away needless free kicks around our box given our fragile defence. I doubt he'd come back anyway.

I thought we'd moved past loans..... Anyway, no such bullshit as no money for transfers. What happened to the 35 million quid from Mandy?

Don't think we'll get much quality than what we have in loans, unless there is a decent CB around somewhere
