I like the FA Cup, especially when we get draws like this, but I'm a poor graduate who hasn't got a job yet.
Bit of an irrelevance as I know I'll end up going anyway, £20 would be fair, but I reckon it will be a fair bit more. I still reckon season ticket holders should get a discounted rate.
Put them on for £10, and I'm there. £15+ and I'd have to think about it. No chance of getting me there for £30+
If people think an adult ticket for this will be less than £30 then they are in for a shock. - Saints as a League One side vs Man Utd in the FA Cup was £30 in 2010, and still saw the highest attendance in England on that day. - Saints as a Premier League team vs Chelsea won't be less than £30 and may even be more.
Paid out for Liverpool and Fulham tickets and plan getting tickets for Man U and Wigan away at the end of January......unless there is a reasonable discount for ST holders will may give this game a miss.
Also as gate reciepts are split 50:50 between clubs, prices have to be agreed jointly with Chelsea. Don't bet on cheapo tickets.
It'll be a sell out most probably so the club have little incentive to chargew anything less than around £25. They could probably get away with £35.
Oh yes, I'm not saying that I'm expecting tickets to be £10 or £15. I'd be gobsmacked if they were that cheap. I was just answering CBK's question of what I would be willing to pay (ergo, I'm expecting to have that weekend football free!)
Expect tickets to be £35+ especially if Chelsea have input. If so I don't think it will sell out, right after xmas and only 3rd round.
I would probably pay whatever they ask as I am fortunate in my personal circumstances. It would be a shame if the attendance and atmosphere suffered because they are too greedy though. Anything other than a sell-out would indicate that they have miscalculated.
I would expect tickets to be £30-35. The reason we sold out in League 1 and the Championship for the visit of a PL club is because it was a treat...not a treat but routine this season. People will be laying out a lot of money to follow Saints this season...can't see this being a sell out...watching a second-string Saints probably losing to a second-string Chelsea in a match that is likely to be on the TV...don't think so. I would have gone to see us hopefully win against a Championship/League 1 side.
Not for me either and no doubt it will be around £30 to rich for me at this time of year ...will probably be on the telly anyways. More interested in going to see the kids play on the night 3 monday night's to be honest.
It won't be their reserves its the only comp left for them i fully expect Avram Grant to pick a full strength team.
