This was a crap performance. Lindegaard was rubbish as well as the defenders especially rafael. Hope we improve a lot before next Sunday.

What a match. Defending was awful in the first half but we capitalise on our rivals slipping up so its a good day.

The Premiership is so interesting this season, None of the normal top teams are defending well, the best defensive team is Swansea.

I think the main problem is getting a settled back four and keeper. Giving Rio games every now and then and swapping De Gea and Lindegaard is making it difficult for all the other defenders.

I disagree with those slagging Evans as I think he is now an established first teamer. I must admit that I have took some convincing, but I think he has been our most reliable defender. I think with our weak midfield combined with the tinkering of the back four our defense is always going to be having difficulties.

    Great going forward though!!

This is the weirdest match so far. With due respect we were much better than Reading but we can't give away 3 silly goals like that. All defensive mistakes. To concede a goal from a corner to a free header was bad enough, but then to give another one from the next corner in exactly the same way was unforgivable. SAF must just cut these weaknesses.

I am sure our tactics will be different for the city game. We'll probably play RVP as the lone striker with Rooney playing in central midfield and 2 defensive midfielders. I still think we shouldn't play too cautious against city. We should attack them like European teams have done at the Etihad.

    Weird performance.

Thought Rooney was outstanding. Gutted ando has been injured as he has really started to look the part. Thought young played well.

I'm a little nervous for the city game as we may let in a lot of goals and I can't see us scoring so easily against them.

Team of the day for me has to be the hammers.

I think the Swansea performance wasn't bad either. They dominated arsenal at the emirates <ok>

Yeah they did play well. That said arsenal are truly **** this season. Only bettered in the **** stakes by Liverpool.

Think Chelsea are going to get ruined by rafa.

Having watched the whole game courtesy of ESPN, I was mortified at how badly certain defenders played!
IMHO, the main culprit throughout the game was Evans. He switches off too often, leaving whatever man he is supposed to be marking to attack unhindered. When he has the ball with no pressure on himself, he doesn't seem to know what to do with it, often raising his arms gesturing to the forwards as though it is their fault him lingering on the ball.

Yes, he may now be 'an established first teamer', which may well account for the poor defensive record the team are now experiencing.
    Get well soon Vidic!!

Evans may have played badly against Reading but the fault for two of the goals lay sorely with the keeper. Also Evans last season was at time outstanding. The lad is too often the scapegoat imo.
