I never said 'you had a easier run of fixtures', yes you are 10 points better of then us. But you have to remember this is the Prem league and anything can happen. All it takes is West Ham to lose a few in a row and you will be looking over your shoulders as well.
But you can't deny that many said that the reason we were 10 points above you was our favourable run of games? I'm not saying you personally said it but many did. Now, overall, our games have been equally as tough as yours if not even harder and the gap remains the same. Just saying that's all.
I get what you are saying and even admit you are a better team. But sometimes the way you write things makes you seem like a big headed wum.(not that I'm saying you are)
I've never taken anything that Trixter has written on here as anything other than light-hearted banter (which is a way of life in East London!), although a lot of subtlety can be missed when you are just reading the written word. It is true that a lot of Saints fans have layed into West Ham's style of play under fat Sam and he is just reminding us of that...nothing more sinister than that.
Hi trixter. 15 games in so I think we can say we are well into the season now. Only four teams we haven't played which are Reading and Sunderland at home (mega important), Fulham and Chelsea. I still don't think anyone is calling West Ham's performance so far anything other than excellent, and they have got some consistency that so many teams can't find this season. Nigel knows that you can't stay up just by taking points off the teams around you, and we need to start turning our good performances against better teams into results. But despite today's result the signs that we can do it are still there, and in November we have started to get the results we need (four goals conceded in five games!). And for any pessimistic Saints, I still haven't seen any evidence that QPR, Villa or Reading are better than us. (I'll chuck in Sunderland just to be safe)
Same here but obviously a few others think he is, judging by some of the posts. I have no problem at all with West Ham apart from Fat Sam and Brady(i hate them), so hope they do well.(but not as well as us obviously)
What?! In 2003 we were relegated with a very good side that had future England internationals like Joe Cole, Carrick and Defoe but in 2010 we were a 1 man team being carried by Scott Parker, the rot had allready set in and we had an awful side. The side that went down: Green, Good Keeper won alot of points for us. Reid, Good at CB but a joke at RB Da Costa, Poor Upson, Our "Captain", who couldn't give a sh1t about us Illunga, Lol... Kovac, One of the worst players to wear the claret and blue in recent times Parker, Carried the team Noble, Not bad but allways in the shadow of Parker Faubert, Winger with 0 pace and who can't cross the ball, great Obinna, Too busy doing tricks instead of playing football Cole , replaced by Demba Ba in the 2nd half of the season That team finished last and would finish last this season aswell.
I'd like to also add that the Championship and the Premier league are not the same, so comparing the two would be pointless.
I wouldn't say I'm a WUM. I like to challenge and provoke debate, especially when your fans label us a hoofball team with a dour one dimensional manager. If yesterday's second half performance against Chelsea was hoofball, then gimme more of that! Anyway it's all good. I just did the bbc predictor for the whole season (I'm seriously cool aye ) and I have you staying up comfortably. Not that that means **** all other than the fact that I think you will be fine.
Morning T!! Have to give credit where it's due. Fat Sam had them flying in the second half yesterday. That's your enjoyment over though. Al downhill from here!
Not very nice criticising your team. Parker was the best player in the PL that season, Green and Upson both played for England in the World Cup, Noble's definitely one for the future, Cole although didn't fulfil his potential is still a PL player, Ba was immense and so was Hitzlsperger. You have to blame Avram Grant for coming bottom with those players, your side on paper was a lot better than the likes of Wigan, Wolves and Blackpool that season.
The centre back pairing for Arsenal speaks volumes. Wenger has basically looked at them and said "I know big fat sam just gets his players to lump ball in't box, get big Kevin Nooolan on't end of knock downs"
