But why should that be? Ok so we're not everything that he obviously thought we were when he was persuaded to sign up to the adventure of turning a small club into a world force. More fool him. i hope he grows a pair before the January window.

You talking about Granero's balls!? Me too, hope Harry and co can get him fired up because he is a good player and we need him. However much fight players like Clint, Nelsen, Derry, Park, SWP and Mackie give us, we are also going need good quality technical players like Granero to stay in the PL.

Maybe that was directed at others because I said he tries and that's to his credit. But on 50 grand or whatever a week, isn't that the least he should do? Since he came back in against West Ham, he's worked hard, covered and put himself about. Quite correct. However, the OP posed the question why won't he just play a simple pass? You didn't address that.

I think the reason people have a go at him Yorkie is that they get a bit fed up with the constant drooling over him when in reality he doesn't do an awful lot to deserve that adulation. I also agree with you RE Granero. He has been piss poor since he joined. Real Madrid? You're havin' a laugh.

    Hey ho, not long back.

Swords, I agree with you on one thing. Granero is turning into a disappointment. Hopefully, it is only a temporary thing.

I disagree with you on another, Adel is the driving force in our team. God forbid, if he were to get injured, we would be well and truly up the creek.

Not everything he tried today came off but boy did he try. He gave it 100% and frankly, your criticism is way off the mark.

Fair play Fingi, you're commitment to the Club is astounding. Maximum respect mate.

We'll have to agree to disagree though I'm afraid.

His work rate has improved for sure but compare him to michu, costs a fraction of his reported value and banging in goals for fun. He doesn't have the fancy skills but gets into the box and into the right positions. He is their go to man for a goal. Until Adel can do the same, I don't know what the fuss is tbh. Great championship player.

I'm a big fan of Granero like El Pirata but his recent performances have been well below par for his standard, I have seen him make fun of La Liga players but unfortunately he has yet to shine for us. Again I question the dressing room, do they all really get on?, are Granero and Taraabt too similar in the way they play (and Faurlin?). I hope Granero comes good soon otherwise I'll have Col all over me!. But if he doesn't looks like we might have another Parejo on our hands.

Simple passes dont get you anywhere, we proved that today when we passed it around endlessly 40 yards from their goal.

We need players to play incisive balls (like the 2 to SWP), wed never get chances if we played simple balls all the time.

I didn't see today's game so can't comment on what he did against Villa. I've put my head on the block before with regard to our mercurial Moroccan, he is supremely talented that is without question, but he is not a team player in my opinion. In the situation that we currently find ourselves, do we have a place for a maverick such as Adel? To be honest, I don't know the answer to that question either. I've had many a debate with Rollercoaster about Taarabt, he is of the opinion that Rangers have a tradition of flair players, Marsh, Bowles, Wegerle, Byrne an so on, therefore we should indulge him. Personally, I'm not convinced, if we were top half of the table it would be different.

To be honest Granero put him in a 1 on 1 situation and if SWP could score a goal now and then all board would hail Granero's magical pass. It's hard for me to be subjective when it comes to Granero but he sure is sinking in his game. I just hope Harry can bring up a great attacking midfielder in him. God knows we need one and we need him fast

I saw Taarabt play many simple passes today. I thought he had a good game and made a lot of good decisions. He even made MOTD's team of the day!

    Ah bollocks I couldn't sleep <laugh>

The thing about it is, if Adel and Grenaro can play together in midfield together more like Xavi and Iniesta rather than Lampard and Gerrard (you know what I'm saying) <laugh> then we could really have something. But then we've had Diakite wanting to get more involved, and then the conundrum of who to put on either side of Granero and Adel, if they are playing together - which we saw bits of today that wasn't working, which is may be why Arry put in Park instead of Granero at the half as Granero started to look lost with Adel taking most of the balls, when in it would've been perfect opportunity for Granero to step it up and support Adel.
But it was a confusing game for us, with Mbia going down and Diakite going down, it changed our look. If we could have kept the line up, I am sure SWP would have scored, and Adel and Grenero could've worked together more.

Now maybe its because i wasnt at the game and i know f-all, but personally, i thought tarbs had a decent game?
tried a bit to much now and again ( as is his nature) but thought he didnt do much wrong
i've read a few reviews (sun etc) giving him a 6/10. Dont personally agree with that.
as for the G-man..played ok but well below his norm i think. Needs to up it back to his earlier performances.
