This is the first season I can remember watching Arsenal without a real top class forward. Arsenal have some good ones right now, but they just aren't the same quality as I've seen in Arsenal teams over the years.

I certainly think Arsenal are not a more attractive proposition than Dortmund, that's for damn sure.

Most people realised (and said) that selling RVP would weaken us. Arsenal87's claim that people said we would 'thrive' is more bollocks. Replacing RVP is a nearly impossible task. Even though he was in the last year of his contract, I think we should have kept him. Selling him to Utd was an unforgivable act by the board in my opinion.

I responded to your reason, the EPL is the best league is not an answer, because I told you the EPL= best league doesn't mean he comes to Arsenal, but simply goes to a BETTER AND BIGGER TEAM, such as United or City. So that's not a reason, try better.

Mentioning Arsenal's stature shows your own arrogant English ignorance towards Dortmund, because they have one too.

So no, bring me ACTUAL reasons, not biased Arsenal ignorant fan reasons. Thanks.

They seem to be devoid of ideas once they get to the edge of the box.

Goal shy , no fecker will do anything , just pass back and try from another angle .........

Drives me up the bleedin wall.

But if you watch , you will see no movement , they pass and stand still , its like they dont WANT the ball back.

You might be right, but I think we should at least try.

QPR were less attractive and Ceasar left. We might not be as attractive but we can still get him with the right amount of money.

I doubt United or City are looking for Goetze at the moment.

The ONLY reason world class players move to another big teams these days is for 1-MONEY, 2-TROPHIES, they don't say oh wow Arsenal have a nice history, so I will move there instead of United.

If we're talking nice history, then **** me, Spurs have a nice history, so they have a chance of signing Gotze then. Get ****ing real will you, please.

It's not my assertion, is based on what the top players say. They want to play in the premier league.

If we can afford him and pay his wages, then why shouldn't we go for him ?

Unless you just want to moan and accept at the same time that all we have are average players

I'm sure if he was available on the market, the likes of City, PSG, Madrid would be after him, even Chelsea.

The point is A87, that a player like Gotze would help us to become a club that win things again. That's why we should try and sign him.

    Did I say they don't?

Look I'm TALKING ABOUT A WORLD CLASS PLAYER ALREADY AT A BIG CLUB, I'm not talking about every player that plays in Europe. Gotze already PLAYS FOR A BIG CLUB, so the next logical step is to move to a BIGGER CLUB than Dortmund that can offer him more, and that's not Arsenal, that's United, City, Chelsea.

I'm sure Gotze wants to play in the EPL, but at a BIG AND SUCCESSFUL CLUB THAT CHALLENGES.

Torres is a conundrum alright .

he wasnt too bad for spain , and he seemed to be getting his form back.

It dont take much for a highly strung striker to go off the boil.

Well I'm sorry, players are ****s these days, they don't want to come and say hmmm I can finally help this team win, they want to move to an already good winning team and be a part of it.

Look at RVP, prime example of that, could've stayed and helped us, but he decided to **** off and join an already successful team to add to it and be part of it.
