30 million a year doesn't automatically mean we start paying big wages.

30 million a year, so we just have to spend that whole amount on 1 player, then comes the SEPARATE money on wages.

Giroud is a good player , but if we are relying on him for our success , we are screwed .

He is not Judas standard good.

Every single Arsenal fan knows that Judas would have scored today .

He needs HALF a chance .

Giroud needs a full 3 seconds clear chance .

Gervinho needs an open goal and the defenders lying prone on the floor.

Because, our ability to spend more is about to be realised, with new commercial deals and consolidation of our debts. Out CEO has said that we will be able to compete for top players and pay their wages.

Why leave Dortmund? Because the Premier League is seen as the best league in the world. Dortmund are a good team and they are winning things in Germany, but the challenge of winning something in the premier league is a big pull for the top players. Arsenal have a long and proud history and are one of the most recognisable clubs in the world. We're not performing to our best at the moment, but with players like Gotze alongside Cazorla, Wilshere (and some equally as good additions) can help us to get back to winning ways.

We should have this type of ambition and I believe the club have - and will be better placed to demonstrate this ambition soon enough. Signing a player like Gozte would be an example of this.

Saying that we should just accept mediocrity and average players is completely counter productive.

Is it any coincidence, that our attack has looked toothless since RVP left? There's been a direct correlation between the 2, many even said that would most likely happen, that losing RVP would cause us to struggle upfront, and that's exactly what's happened, time and time this season we have seen us being toothless upfront, how many times have we failed to score at home this season?

Define "best". I'll give you "most entertaining" and "richest" but "best" if you mean quality is pushing it in the last few years!!

Okay, so you say he'd leave Dortmund because the Premier League is the best in the world, well, if he goes to the EPL, then it'd be for the likes of United, City, and Chelsea, teams that actually compete and win things.

Just because the EPL's the best doesn't mean a player leaves a top European club for a team like West Brom, lol.

And I don't think you know much about Dortmund, and sound really arrogant here, because Dortmund too, are a club with a rich and successful history, including wining the Champions League, something Arsenal have not, so let's not try to prop up Arsenal's credentials when he's already at a club with a lot of credentials.

So AS I SAID, the guy plays for a BIG CLUB ALREADY, so if he leaves them, he will leave FOR ANOTHER BIG CLUB, basically, a BIGGER CLUB, and that isn't Arsenal, but that's United, Bayern, Madrid, Barca, City, Chelsea, heck, even Juventus. Teams that are big, but are winning and competing for things.

I don't get the sudden surprise. Every man and his dog knew if RVP left then you'd struggle.

Being a Liverpool fan, we're in a similar scenario (but worse) if Suarez leaves.

I don't get why you are so adamant against the idea for signing him. Maybe the signing if a top player would close down an excuse for you guys to be depressed all the time?

It was Sunderland, Villa was away, ;-).

How many times have we failed to score this season, that'd be another interesting stat.

In our last 3, we've only scored once.

Comparing Gozte considering joining Arsenal to being the same as considering joining West Brom just makes you sound like a wum

Not to people on this board, ;-), many were saying we wouldn't suffer much, and would thrive with our new additions, lol.

There is no sudden surprise , but its a pi$$er that Wenger assured us that he had it covered by buying Podolski and Giroud.

mmm , what did that dynamic duo do today .?

    not a sausage .

Not even a sniff of a sausage .

West Brom are currently better than us, so true, I shouldn't compare a better team than us, my bad. I should've used the example of Newcastle, who are below us.

You still can't accept the fact, why would a world class player leave a big club that's winning trophies, for another club thats winning NOTHING? It is because YOU ARE STUCK IN THE PAST, contrary to you saying you're not. Don't tell me about Arsenal's stature, Dortmund have a stature as well, and HAVE TROPHIES TO ADD TO THAT STATURE.

You haven't given ANY professional reason so far, and you'll never be able to, no world class player leaves a big successful club, for another club that's winning nothing.

Hull City were 3rd up until Christmas a few seasons ago.

If you think West Brom provide a more attractive proposition for a top player to join over Arsenal, then you really are just wumming.

So you honestly expect WBA to finsih above us. Blackpool were 2nd for about a month and people were saying the could be title contenders and look what happened.

The trouble is it's near on impossible to replace one of the best strikers in the world, without massive pulling power, or insane amounts of money.

It could take 3 or 4 players to replace what he gave you, therefore the rest of the team potentially lacks.
