Redknapp confirms former Marseille man is ‘okay’

QPR BOSS Harry Redknapp has confirmed to www.qpr.co.uk that Stephane Mbia ‘should be fit’ for next weekend’s visit to Wigan Athletic in the Barclays Premier League.

The Cameroon international was stretchered off in the first half of this afternoon’s (Saturday) home draw against Aston Villa in W12.

But Redknapp told us: “He’s okay. He’s just got a bit of a neck injury.

    “He’s gone to hospital for a check-up, but I don’t think there’s any problem.

“He should be fit for next week.”

Redknapp also said the calf injury that forced Samba Diakite off in the second period was ‘not too bad’ but didn’t confirm how long the midfielder would be out for.

It was scary being there and not knowing what happened, he had some sort of movement and then just laid there, did he run into the refs shoulder?

He "collided" with Abonowhore, think it was Whores elbow, but not sure if it was, or if it was intentional or not. My impression was it was both his elbow and was intentional, but the pictures I saw weren't that clear. Whore was getting booed after so I thing some of you thought the same. The commentators said it were an accident, and I didn't see any of our players reacting to the whore.

Thanks, literally no one in the ground knew what happened as it was so far away from the action, even the players didnt see it or theyd have been in the refs face.

Hopefully he gets a big ban if thats true.
