I reckon it's going to be close. 'Pool v Arsenal is looking like a massive 6-pointer already.

Just because YV mentioned the defence, it reminded me that Naughton had an unspectacular but pretty solid game in his proper position.
Definitely looks a useful option there.

Buzzing, its been such a good day. Football results have gone our way, England have beaten New Zealand at rugby and I've finished all my uni work until after Christmas to boot!

I didn't catch the second half because my laptop died but it seems like we just needed that spark that Sandro's goal provided and then we were able to come into the game. Its a bit disappointing that we still only seem to be able to play well in one half but we've just scored 3 away from home and kept a clean sheet without seeming to play all that well. So we can't complain all that much can we.

    Onwards and ever upwards. COYS

I think if you'll check the prediction thread - you'll see that I said Sandro would net. AY

I predicted a draw - happy to be proved wrong. 3 goals and a cleansheet is awesome.

    We're now joint 3rd :D

3 wins on the bounce - where are the AVB out people now?

Yes agreed. Bad mistake by Schwarzer for the first one - he's usually very thorough at low shots by the post, but got to this one and just let it through.

You're right that made us "less disciplined and compact at the back" - chasing the game.

I'm worried about yet more injuries - Riether, Diarra got another niggle (before he's properly recovered) and Petric still not yet fit. Dejagah seemed to recover ok though from his fall.

    Haangeland back next game.

Yeah, it's a shame that you've dropped off a bit since your great start to the season. Hopefully the results will start coming for you again soon, we all love Martin Jol here still.

Is Pep that good or is he lucky he has Messi winning games for him?
Show me a winning team and they have a regular goal scorer.
Last season Arsenal may have been battling relegation without Uncle Percy!
Defoe has found the net again and Spurs are rising.Coincidence? No! You must have a goalscorer if your going anywhere!
....and Torres? What HAS happened to him?Does he need another club to pick himself up?

Bale - Dive or foul and how bad is his injury?

Sounds like it was a victory that perhaps Spurs deserved, but maybe not at that margin. Great to keep a clean sheet though!

7 bookings this year for Bale so probably a dive. I don't know what he's trying to do picking up all these bookings but I wish he'd stop. Anyway a good result today and a good springboard for Thursday.

Well from where I was sat in the ground it was a definite foul by Sidwell and never ever a dive.
