Are we on the brink of being well and truly shafted, according to the commentary we could quite easily have got back into this at anytime, yet here we are staring into the abis.

Where is our left winger where is Riordan (yes so far not performed but is a proven goal scorer) 0-2 down 20 mins to go. WTF!!

Questions really have got to be asked, and honest answers obtained.

a CB (parkes) selected at LW.
then a CF (riordan) came on as a sub at LW.

so parkes and riordan preferred at LW over the hammer who plays LW.

i am so confused with his selections.

Get him out, its as simple as that, when your under pressure and not performing, go back to basics, basics is 4-4-2 and playing players in there correct positions to begin with.

fully agree. he had injuries to hide behind and i agree with MM that he needs time for the injured players to return. well now most of them are back and the players who are still out wont actually improve us. MM for me may have managed his last game now. if not i be surprised if he dont walk himself.

the 1st game getting abandoned should have been enough as a motivational tool to be used this week. do the players actually care?

Rhiordan is only there to pick up the money.

Its been a while since I have watched a Rovers player with absolutely no desire to play for his paymasters...he truly is a waste of money and should be let go I certainly think that he is a liability as a left midfielder he offers very little going forward (except perhaps crossing) little threat on goal and no support for the defence.

Normally I can see a player has something about him that makes the manager select him week after week not with Rhiordan though.

With respect CoR I dont think Cureton would offer little going forward from midfield and certainly wouldnt relish supporting the defence, Riordan and the Cureton type players need to be at the top end sniffing out the ball into the box, playing off the last man.

So long Appreciate your opinion mine however differs from you in that I beleive in our current predicament we cannot afford to have a player that contributes very little during the game.Patersons legs have gone this season and needs support from the midfielder in front of him.

Eaves supports the team front to back and he is our main attacker, why should Rhiordan be any different?

His body language reakes of I dont really want to be here especially when he loses the ball.

With wing backs you need the midfielder to slot back and fill the hole left by them Rhiordan has no desire to fulfill that role.

COR I honestly will only ever have differing views to others and air them with respect, I dont assume to know anymore more than the next Gashead, I agree with your point and dont think Riordan as achieved anymore than 50% what he could offer us, but when he came the manager pointed out that he probably was not a all round hard working player for the team, rather a proven goal getter, going back to Cureton if I remember rightly he was exactly the same, it used to do my head in, but my old man always used to point out it wasnt about the work effic it was the goals he scored, which at the end of the day was what he was employed for, and he delivered, give Riorden a fair crack playing at the top end off the last man, then judge him on that, of course he also needs the service, its no good expecting him to drop deep to get into the game.

They should off locked Riordan up that would of been one way of getting rid of him  of course he's only here for the money he probably heard that we pay middle of the road players stupid amounts of money every week and why would he put in 100% he couldn't give a **** about Bristol Rovers.

I think MM has two games left,

Four to Six points will save him any less and he is gone.

Be careful mind, walking back to the car yesterday chatting to a Wolves fan who was just as pissed off with the result as me. His reason was that with them beating us, they now get to keep their manager a bit longer!

yesterday was a new low for me. people on here now i have backed MM only due to the fact he has been unlucky with injuries. but this cannot be used for excuses anymore. he stated yesterday that the team he put out was the strongest team he could put out and we lost and didnt look like winning apparently. slow up front, weak in the middle and slow and crap at the back and keeper poor as well. MM has made this team. he consistantly makes bad decision with signings and playing people out of position when its not needed.

i now wouldnt now be disappointed if he walked or got sacked now. if we are changing managers this season then it needs to be done asap so a new manager can use the jan transfer window to change things.

Up until now MM has had a fairly decent excuse with injuries etc and I have been willing to give him and the team the benefit of the doubt. Yesterday however the majority of the team were his signings - he bought them to the club, he set them up and trained them for this game, he (so say) motivated them, and the result was/is there for all to see. I fully expect us to be bottom of the league after Boxing day, followed by the inevitable sacking and circus that goes with it. There is no way after yesterday that MM can redeem himself - unless we go on an unbeaten run, he has lost the players, and now he has started to lose the fans. A pity really because I like MM as a person, he gave us time and talked with us in the summer, however his lack of urgency in the transfer market during the summer months, and his apparent signings that were/are "right for the club" have failed to produce the goods, and in the end the buck rests with the manager. It would/will be interesting if MM goes whether SN could get these players playing better ... in fact I think I could ... play players in their correct positions, play 4-4-2, play simple football. I wonder how many of the present squad are actually wondering what the hell is going on in the dressing room and on the field of play, no wonder they are all over the place, none of them know where they are playing, whether they are playing, everything is a lottery - how do you expect them to feel - frustrated - just like us fans. I can't condone GK and his actions/words after yesterdays game ... but I can understand them!

I still think two games and at least four points will save him.

Watching your team yesterday, they looked fairly disinterested except for ten minutes after half time. They were generally second to most things and didn't seem to have any real creativity. In fact you remind me of Wycombe a few games back. Many on our boards deliberated the sacking of Waddock, but from what I saw yesterday, the sooner you get rid of McGhee, the better. Sadly it seems he has lost the ability to motivate your team and the signs are oh so familiar.
Good luck for the rest of the season. I am sure a managerial change will soon have you rising up league 2

GasFAn - I'm sure it would ... but in all honesty can you see the team picking up 4 points from the next 2 games? And what about the ever dwindling crowds?

4 points fro next 2 games. i cant see this happening to be honest. i hope he does as i do like him. but constantly playing everyone out of position and made some bad signings amongst many other mistakes (too long to list) is his downfall. its an opinion of mine that if he played players in the right position and kept to basics while in struggling with the injuries, we would be about 9 points better off than where we are now.
